It is imperative in this hour, that we study and that we listen.

It is a fact that God is revealing things on a daily basis to those who have an ear. If you have determined to follow the leading of the Spirit today, and that is your true heart’s desire, you will be led.

If we choose only a middle-of-the-road experience or a satisfied, complacent and lukewarm existence now, then that is what we will have. Wouldn’t we be less likely to recognize error?

The apostle writing here, was talking about how we would know The Spirit of God. To those who are watching, what we see happening in our world and all around us, is disturbing; or it should be.

The LORD said to watch. We are surrounded by every form of distraction. There is a sphere of ranting going on, of which many of us of age have never seen before.

And this, demands an answer. Whatever the cause or subject, it seems clear that the outbreak of response, is far overboard.

It is wise and expedient, that we choose our words carefully. It came to me some years back now, that whatever ministry we offered here, was no threat to the kingdom of darkness.

Nor to those who are helping to bring it forth. Now, that reality has likely shifted a great deal.

What we’re trying to say is, as The Spirit leads those who have been chosen, we will be called upon to speak of things we tread lightly about before. There is a Spirit that is at work among us; it’s spoken about in this text .

Speaking boldly without the wisdom that is from above, is very dangerous. It reminds me of the days when we used to cast out devils in our services.

If you were not right somehow, or not full of the Spirit, you were cautioned to stay back. May I stop and say, that the enemy is fighting me terribly as I try to write this.

I tried last evening and the message suddenly just disappeared. Perhaps the greatest move of all is on for the powers once written about, to rail their way to true defeat.

The price that is being paid by those trained of the Spirit for this time, is unparalleled by anything we’ve ever known.

We need to stop right here and help one another; as honest as we possibly can. I gave up. And more than once. I’ve told God, I can’t take it anymore.

I’ve never known such sickness, such distress and opposition; from powers of darkness and even those around me.

Judge me for that if you want — but I remember how King David talked to his God. I do too today.

You see, God promised me some things, and they haven’t happened.

I’ve had visions and dreams; I know they were from God. It’s been confirmed to me through His written Word speaking through the unction of the Holy Ghost.

And also by those having Word of Wisdom and Word of Knowledge; even on here. It may be the message the Spirit is giving you or is trying to give you that has caused such intense affliction or oppression upon you. Weeping may endure for a lot of nights.

Something came to me a couple of days ago concerning these last days Paul was writing about. He didn’t say it was the devil that would make things so perilous.

It was people. Read it again. Because that is what this message is about. It is the spirit of the people that are telling the truth.

And it is about the spirit of the people who are in error. “They are from the world; therefore, they speak as from the world.”

Notice the next few words. “And the world listen’s to them…..”

But greater is He . . .

“¹ Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. ² By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, ³ and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.
4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. ⁵ They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. ⁶ We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error,” John 4:1-5.
