Prayers Watches: The Sixth Watch (9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon)

This particular watch deals with the following aspects:

Time to call forth the New Man and pray the putting away of the old man. Time to pray for the harvest of souls. Pray for souls coming into the Kingdom – pray for the church to be kingdom minded and kingdom focused.

Pray for the manifestation of God’s promise, promises of cleansing, a new heart, and a new spirit. Pray concerning the willingness to work and increase. To see fruitfulness in the body of Christ.

Time to pray and appropriate the benefits of Calvary (healing, prosperity, forgiveness, strength) Jesus was crucified at 12 noon* – after being on the cross for 3 hours. Darkness came over the face of the earth at 12 noon then at 3:00 p.m. the period of darkness ended.

Pray for a crucified life – because of the cross and the victory of that finished work. Ask God to help us to walk in the manifestation of all the values of the crucified life, by mortifying the deeds of the flesh. Pray for the putting off the self (the old man) and the putting on the Lord Jesus. Pray to walk in the Spirit and the fruits of the Spirit.

Pray forgiveness, the healing of relationships, pray for the release of others from trespasses.

This is a time to declare the Unity in the body of Christ. One faith, one hope, and one baptism.

* (The accounts of the crucifixion and death of Jesus were recorded as beginning at 12:00 noon and ending at 3:00 p.m. However his suffering began 3 hours before that at 9:00 a.m., by the crowning of thorns. His walk down the Via Dolorosa, making the sixth and seventh watches as being significant.)
