The Sin of Rebellion
“The Word of the Lord also came unto me, saying, son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not; they have ears to hear, and hear not; for they are a rebellious house,” Ezekiel 12:1-2.
This is a powerful verse with much revelation.
What is it like to dwell in a house with a rebellious person? Rebellion, מְרִי (merı̂y mer-ee’) is translated: bitterness.
If one is living in rebellion they are dealing with bitterness of some kind, and bitterness is often coupled with anger, wrath, and trouble.
The heart is where the mouth speaks from, and a rebellious person has little good to say. The Bible says rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft.
These people are blind and deaf to the LORD. They are going somewhere but haven’t a clue where because they can’t hear. Many of us from time to time show a rebellious streak, and when you insist on going this way nothing goes right and you cannot hear God nor see what He is doing.
I believe we are living during a time of extreme blatant rebellion. Every where you turn, people everywhere are groping in the dark trying to discern the times.
It’s time to pull back Beloved, take an honest look at yourself, I am, and thoughtfully and prayerfully seek the LORD while He may be found.
Repent if you find you are in this place… Don’t get caught up in what’s out there, but stay close to the LORD.
God Bless You, you are in my prayers
