The Seventh Prayer Watch
Prayer Watches: The Seventh Watch (12 noon – 3:00 p.m.)
This has been an continuation teaching on the significance of prayer watches as we study and develop a culture of prayer on a deeper level.
(*Please note: these teachings are not mandatory. However, they can be helpful to anyone who is interested in learning more about the role of an intercessor or watchman. During these times of upheaval in our nations locally and abroad, they can be very effective components to the people of God as they pray and study his word.)
The Seventh watch deals with Time to pray to take dominion and to avert danger/ destruction.
This is the time to pray into the secret place of the Most High God. It is time to pray with strength and endurance. Time to exercise/develop a consistency in prayer. Time to pray around learning how to prevail in prayer which is a major key to breakthrough. Time to pray to acquire victory over a course of time especially in tackling difficult issues that seem to take a longer time to overcome.
Fervency and prevailing in prayer are key components to breakthrough. It has been stated by Apostles of prayer, that a failure in the church is usually a prayer failure. It is important to break ground in the realm of the spirit in prayer first. So to become tired and give up before getting the victory is a common issue when praying with novices.
The ability to pray until there is breakthrough is important to overcome difficult and complex situations/circumstances. It is time to pray that we operate in the mercy and grace of God while removing doubt and frustrations. These are great attributes to pray around. So seeing the need to pray about an issue is one thing, and then to pray for strength and endurance to pray through is totally another.
All effective prayer must be prayed through on all levels in order to establish an excellent prayer culture to draw from. Of course the grace and mercy of God works into this and the glory belongs to the Lord. Any well must be properly dug in order to hold water. So it is in our prayer lives. If we can only pray for 15-20 minutes which might be good for some circumstances. However, most intercessors know that the level and endurance for prayer for lengths of time must be developed.
If it is not developed within the individuals involved, it can pull on or wear-out the prayer people. I want to move on, however, this is why praying around your prayer time is essential to avoid “warfare in the warfare situations.” These are distractions that the enemy will use to kill the potency of the prayer time allotted. Leaders of intercessory groups should pray prior to the actual prayer gathering to avert some of these situations.
Dissension that is created within prayer groups, where people don’t like one another or even one becoming annoyed with another’s method of prayer can hinder prayer potency. All of these things can become tricks of the enemy to pull on corporate prayer gatherings. When one encounters these things, they can begin to remedy the situation by re-focusing on the prayer only. While immediately shutting down anything that comes to cloud one’s mind about an individual to instigate or hinder the prayer process.
It is also important to respect a person’s boundaries while praying. So it is appropriate to ask if you can lay hands upon another before doing so in a corporate prayer setting, unless it is already understood prior to the prayer gathering.
This particular time of the day is called by some as entering into the fullness of day. This is the time when the sun is at it’s fullest – time to pray at our optimum best. Pray that the day will yield it’s best and precious fruit to you. Pray for light and revelation upon all hidden areas. Pray concerning one’s steps being properly ordered.
Pray against the destruction that stalks at noon day (Psalm 91:5). Pray that all Satanic arrows be cut off. Pray for righteous judgement and justice to reign amongst our nations. Come against the spirit of fear, spirits of deception and deceiving spirits, and illusions of the mind that could try to pollute one’s thinking and decision making, (2 Corinthians 10:3-6, Ephesians 6).
As a special note:
Intercessors please cover in prayer earthquakes. I have had several visions lately in prayer concerning Earthquakes in one I am not sure if it was LA (Los Angeles) or Louisiana. (Pray against fear, pray that people will be protected.)
There is also one that could occur around Europe, also Hawaii. (These all seem pretty high.)
I am praying that the Lord is raising up stealth warriors of Prayer Watchmen in this hour.
