The Rhythm Of Heaven
Humility is knowing that we can do nothing without Him! What seems right to us to do at times, may not be at all what God is trying to accomplish through us and in us. We have to acknowledge Him in all of our ways in this season. It is imperative to know what He is saying.. This is the only way that Jesus operated in the Earth! He knew who He was but always did what He saw the Father do and said what He said.. This is why He rose up before daybreak to fellowship with the Father. You see in these earthly bodies our dependency on Him daily is required in order to move with the rhythm of heaven. Otherwise when we do our own thing we get out of rhythm and peace begins to leave us..
Once I was running on my treadmill to the beat of a really fast tune on a CD and suddenly the tempo changed to a slow beat. I kept trying to run at the same pace to the slow song and began to feel awkward. The Lord spoke to me and said, “Jo Ellen, do you see how that feels?” I said, “Yes Lord, it feels awkward,” and He said “Jo, that is what happens when you get out of the rhythm of my Spirit. You begin to just feel all out of sync and it irritated… Your peace leaves..”
See, this is why the Word says to “let the peace of God rule in your heart” (Colossians 3:15). When you let the peace of God rule, you are in tune with what Heaven is doing. many times we neglect this warning in our lives and try to push past it and find our selves out of the will of God! Peace comes from hearing God and then moving to His beat! So if you are all out of sorts and have no peace, begin to position yourself in a Spirit of humility, and realize that you need to hear what God has to say. even though you may think that you know because something worked in the last season or in the last move doesn’t mean that it will work in this one. God does not operate in formulas or else we would begin to depend on the formula. No, He is looking for people who know that they need Him every moment and that they can do nothing without Him. When He uses me in the greatest way is when I realize I can do nothing without Him! Glory to God!! He is everything!!
“And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong. I have become a fool in boasting; you have compelled me. For I ought to have been commended by you; for in nothing was I behind the most eminent apostles, though I am nothing” 2 Corinthians 12:9-11 (NKJV).
