It is not by might, nor by power of muscle.
It is not by might, nor by power of mentality.
It is not by might, nor by power of money or a trending narrative.
It is of the Spirit of God.
Not the spirit of man.

Oh Friends! We have got to stop thinking that God’s work is to be carried about by natural means.

I believe that God’s business is the “most important business” in the world. I also believe that all things in our houses of worship should be done decently and in order.

However, some are run exactly like one of this world’s businesses.

If God’s Holy Spirit were to leave those churches entirely, they would continue to run as normal, without anyone observing a difference.

Going back to the same patterns and practices after experiencing a time of great adjustment will quickly cause frustration and disappointment.

When the power of God lifts off our way of doing and approaching things, we learn the humbling reality of how limited we are to help or lead others in a lasting way, unless we are “given strength” to do so.

The Bible says,

“The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man’s spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:10-11.

I like that about the Holy Spirit. He goes where I can’t. He comprehends things I can’t. He does things I can’t. But when it comes to the things I need to do, He equips me to do them!

Dear Believer, did you pray this morning for God’s blessings upon your time of meeting with Him whether at home or in a gathering?

We have in this strange and difficult time, Christians who are going through great trials.

They (We) All Need a Touch From God!

“All is vain unless the Spirit of the Holy One comes down and strengthens, comforts and instructs. Brothers and Sisters, pray! Meet with God.

Pull up a chair for Him, closely, and talk, weep, hunger, and listen. Sweet and holy lasting wisdom will be showered on this time of determined “waiting” in the Presence of God”.

Let’s remind ourselves today that we must depend on the power of the Holy Spirit to do the work of God! We can’t Force, Rally or Demand that people, “Get up and move in power!”

The upper room believers were waiting, resting, praying and healing after the great upheaval of the death and resurrection of Jesus.

They waited because HE told them to.

Until Glory. and Empowerment, came from “On High”.

The human soul tends to want action and projects and movements. And the human soul, if not hungry for God’s way of doing things, will dilute true spiritual empowerment with Impulse and duty.

The bottom line is living and shining not by might nor by power (in the flesh), but by God’s Spirit. This must now be our daily life style – living and shining by the Spirit in every circumstance not matter what the cost.

Let’s Pray!

By your Spirit, Sovereign Lord, and by honoring your Word,

Strengthen me to bear your light, In this world of darkest night.

Pour over me your oil so pure, Until my heart is calm and sure.

With power from your throne, may it be known that I am yours, and empowered by your Spirit alone.
