The Prophet’s Message Must Become Part of Him
An important phenomenon happens when a true word from a prophet is spoken. That prophet is then given experiences where what they say must be something that they will then experience in their own life.
I noticed this the other day after giving the message about “DEATH AND LIFE ARE IN THE POWER OF THE TONGUE.” Very soon after I sent off the message the words that I had spoken were then being tested by those around me.
I became keenly aware of my speech and was very careful in my choice of words and how they were said. But even though I weighed my words very carefully, they still were met with some misinterpretation and consternation. Of course this is always something that happens in a household anyway, but I believe that it becomes heightened when one or more of its members are a prophet.
God wants his prophets and prophetic people to take on the words that they speak prophetically. Otherwise, the teacher hasn’t taught himself. It’s like the words from Matthew 7:24-25 & 26-27
“Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.”
If he or she does not put them into practice then their house will fall:
“And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.”
I believe that God does this with those messages for perhaps more than one reason. He wants His vessels to become more and more conformed into His image, and this is something that happens daily when we allow His Spirit to do the work in us through fiery trials and the circumstances of life. But also, I believe He wants to make certain His messengers take on that word in their lives so that those messages become a part of them. Those prophetic words spoken then, take on a life deep within that person, and the words cause bones to take on flesh and sinew. This phenomenon is like unto the scriptures in Isaiah 55:10-11,
“For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”
So that word will accomplish what it was set out to do in the earth and in “the person.” That word then prospers, it brings forth and buds new things within them.

Stephen Hanson of In His Truth Ministries came to the Lord is a special way in 1975 and has been prophesying regularly since. In these end-time birthing pangs we are to be reminded that judgment must first begin with the household of God. Will we be prepared and ready?
Amen Brother. How the Lord revealed this to me was He showed me a vision of a vessel – and His Spirit being poured through it. I saw the Holy Spirit as oil and as He flowed through and out, it left a covering on the inside of the vessel – it is not possible to pour out as a vessel of the Lord without having a residual effect and application.
Great word!
