The Prophetic Culture of Trending News Prophesies
We live in a time when prophetic culture is being profoundly reshaped in an era of digitization of news media.
The need to sound the alarm and awaken a heightened sense of discernment to The Body of Christ is now extremely important, lest another generation inherits a prophetic culture that’ll do little or nothing, to lead the Body of Christ into the victories foreordained.
Foundationally, students of prophecy learn about the forth telling and the foretelling function of the Prophetic Ministry to the Body of Christ and Nations.
The LORD uses to Prophetic Ministry to bring profound Revelation of upcoming events and circumstances already foreordained, as well as to reveal events and circumstances that will transpire if certain course of action is taken.
The unique privilege of Prophetic Ministry is the insight of forth telling [a declaration of an already decided future series of events and circumstances], and foretelling [a revelation of conditional events and circumstances that will transpire if certain course of actions are taken].
This profound function of the Prophetic Ministry is intended to keep The Body of Christ and righteous Nations a step ahead in advancing the course of righteousness.
However, there is great concern, as observant and discerning ones will see that the prophetic culture is largely changing.
To a great extent, rather than foretelling or forth telling, many prophetic perspectives have become largely responsive and commentaries.
The news already breaks out before we begin to respond, then seek to know the “mind of The LORD”.
What happened to the foretelling and the forth telling that tells us what is to come?
Where’s the prophetic spiritual intelligence that’s to position The Body of Christ with foresight so we are one step ahead in the battles of righteousness?
The Scriptures records how Elisha gained revelations of what The King of Moab was “saying in his bedroom”.
“Then the king of Syria warred against Israel, and took counsel with his servants, saying, In such and such a place shall be my camp. And the man of God sent unto the king of Israel, saying, Beware that thou pass not such a place, for thither the Syrians are come down. And the king of Israel sent to the place which the man of God told him and warned him of, and saved himself there, not once nor twice. Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was sore troubled for this thing, and he called his servants, and said unto them, Will ye not shew me which of us is for the king of Israel? And one of his servants said, None, my lord, O king: but Elisha, the prophet that is in Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words that thou speakest in thy bedchamber” 2 Kings 6:8-12 emphasis added.
Stunning isn’t it!
For so long, there had been a wrestle in my mind concerning the evolving prophetic culture of the “Trending News Prophesies”.
Like Daniel, “the pondering in my mind troubled me….” (Daniel 7:28).
I sought The LORD for clarification.
Then it dawned on me, until the righteous prophetic heritages be restored, then we would see a resurgence of the righteous function of the prophetic ministries of foretelling and forth telling that will bring us insights to win the battles of righteousness.
In Elisha’s experience, Elisha was The Prophet with Foresight to Foretell and to Forth tell.
Th King of Moab was the one in the responsive position and was the prophetic commentator, seeking to know what is happening after the events and circumstances had already transpired.
Oh! How it seems the reverse is the case in these times and seasons.
There’s literally little or no insight that foretells or forth tells.
Then, there is a breaking news, a trending story, and suddenly, like the king of Moab, we are postured to pray in response, we seek prophetic commentaries of what is taking place.
I refuse to accept such a prophetic culture as the righteous course of action.
I long to see Prophetic Ministry that grants significant insights into what is coming, rather than seek commentaries about what has already taken place on a larger scale in The Body of Christ.
My heart honors deeply the profound prophetic voices that have stewarded their gifts and brought profound prophetic insights in time and season.
However, I am more than convinced more is needed, more on a global scale is needed for The Body of Christ, because the battle of righteousness is being fought on many fronts.
So often I yearn, let my soul travail in righteous prayer for the profound privilege of the Prophetic Ministries that brings us Prophetic Spiritual Intelligence in foretelling and forth telling to be activated in The Body of Christ.
For with this, we would be granted profound insights into what is to come, that we may win the battles of righteousness in our cities and in our nations.
Would you cry out to The LORD JESUS CHRIST today?
Let the righteous prophetic culture of The Kingdom of The LORD JESUS CHRIST begin to be understood, desired, and established in The Body of Christ and in the nations.

Yes, indeed, and apart from the problems of a “prophecy” being instigated by the news and then becoming a spiritualized commentary on that news, there is the additional problem that the “prophetic” commentary may itself be informed by the news commentary.
To make the matter even worse, the news, although always selective, partial and misleading, is now, even more than ever, pumping out blatant propaganda on the behalf of the anti-Christ, corporate interests who own it.
A fundamental issue is the danger of there being a “prophetic culture”, since a culture is defined where people choose to regard as acceptable what others regard as acceptable. It is the way of the world. The calling of a true prophet must be to go against culture, including the “prophetic culture” of the church. Those with this calling have a choice between obedience and popularity. Paul said, “For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.” [Galatians 1:10]
