The Problem With “Revivals”
3 Words in 1
Allowing Him!
Times of intoxication and fullness of being flooded with His Presence happens in moments of our will being yielded in SURRENDER, allowing Him to become everything He IS and desires to be in us and through us.
How He desires NOT for us to live in MOMENTS of yielding ~ Moments of Him being everything in us and to us ~ Moments of surrendering ourselves for Him to fully possess us; But to live flooded with His Presence!
Your WILL is the only gateway that stands between you and living flooded with Him!
Living in SURRENDER removes the ‘gate’ to become the way.
Submit to the Process!
The LORD gave another message to Jeremiah.
He said, “Go down to the potter’s shop, and I will speak to you there.” So I did as he told me and found the potter working at his wheel. But the jar he was making did not turn out as he had hoped, so he crushed it into a lump of clay again and started over,” Jeremiah 18:2-4.
There are three stages in forming any vessel once the potter is ready to work the clay.
There is the stage of being formed.
There is the stage of being purged.
There is the stage of being forged.
Unless we remain pliable in his hand, god will have to crush us back into a lump and begin over again in forming us.
If we are unwilling to yield for the Holy Spirit to purge us, we will remain full of fault lines.
Once we are forged (fully formed) we will either be a vessel fit for his use, or a vessel that nothing can be done with except for it to be broken.
Living in perfect surrender and yielded in God’s will is not an option!
Anything else leaves us imperfect and compromised.
Live your prayer and pray :- Here I am lord, I am soft in your hand, whatever it takes. Make me, mould me, and form me in accordance with your will!
The Problem With “Revivals”
In a way I wish we had never discovered the word “revival”, because in many ways it is descriptive of man’s stained efforts attempting to reach God, rather than God supernaturally working in hearts of a deeply broken people, seeking to lay their lives down in yielded surrender.
But then again, if we did not conveniently use “revival” as the scapegoat to make converts by the standard of religion and to show off our success with numbers at the polls, I guess we would have simply found something else whereby to call it!
The Gospel is not about, a raising of hands.
It is about deeply obedient, submissive, yielded lives, flooded with the Father and His Love – Not for a day, but forever!
