The Power of Obedience
Today, I start another part of the series “Back to Basics,” with “The Power of Obedience.”
One thing, I’m certain of, is that God will give people over to their idol.
In writing the new book “The Forbidden Fruit, the Spiritual Disease,” I’ve recognized the learning curve I’ve been at for decades and have broken through to a new level of Understanding, Praise God!
“Get skillful and godly Wisdom, get understanding (discernment, comprehension, and interpretation); do not forget and do not turn back from the words of my mouth. Forsake not [Wisdom], and she will keep, defend, and protect you; love her, and she will guard you. The beginning of Wisdom is: get Wisdom (skillful and godly Wisdom)! [For skillful and godly Wisdom is the principal thing.] And with all you have gotten, get understanding (discernment, comprehension, and interpretation).” Proverbs 4:5-7 AMPC.
“Understanding” in Hebrew is bîynâh pronounced bee-naw’ meaning, “understanding, knowledge, MEANING, and wisdom.” (Strong’s Concordance #H998)
This comes from the Hebrew word bîyn pronounced bene, meaning, “to separate mentally (or distinguish), understand, discern, know, feel, teach, think, wise, prudent, perceive, etc.” (Strong’s Concordance #H995)
Truth is abstract when it arrives on earth, because it comes from The Kingdom of Heaven.
I spend thirty pages in “Chapter 2, Isaiah 53:11,” explaining this in the new book, via semantics, which is the meaning of something.
The Hebrew word for understanding, is to know the meaning of something. Many don’t realize they’re at a learning curve; their actions show it.
Thus, we The Church, have to return back to The Basics, in Knowing the Power of Obedience.
The Hebrew letters that compose understanding, are Bet, Yood, Nun, and Hey.
Bet is the ancient symbol of a tent meaning, “tent, house, household, and family.”
Yood is the arm at work, meaning “works, make, and deed.”
Nun is the ancient symbol of a fish swimming through water, meaning, “life and activity.”
Finally, Hey is the ancient symbol of a stickman worshipping, meaning, “to reveal.”
Therefore, the word picture for “understanding,” is the works of The House, add the activity of Life, revealing true Worship!
This is powerful; those who worship God, must worship Him in Spirit and in truth!
The modern-day Church has lost The Fear of The LORD, and as a result, are stubborn in obeying Him. We see this when Samuel rebukes king Saul.
“Samuel said, Has The LORD as great a delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obeying the voice of The LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as idolatry and teraphim (household good luck images). Because you have rejected the word of The LORD, He also has rejected you from being king.” 1 Samuel 15:22-23 AMPC.
Obedience here in 1 Samuel 15:22 is the Hebrew word shâmaʻ, pronounced shaw-mah’, meaning, “to hear intelligently, attentively, carefully, give ear, discern, diligently, publish, regard, show forth, obedient, obey, understand, etc.”
The three Hebrew letters that compose obedience are Sheen, Mem, and Ayin.
Sheen is the ancient symbol of teeth, like a jagged “W,” and means “consume,” in the positive.
Mem is the ancient symbol of water, meaning “massive and flooding,” in the positive.
Ayin, is the ancient symbol of an eye, meaning “to see, know, and experience.”
Thus, the word picture for obedience is being consumed massively, flooded with the experience of god’s all-consuming fire, that you see him.
Job knew this well in Job 42.
“I had heard of You [only] by the hearing of the ear, but now my [spiritual] eye sees You.” Job 42:5 AMPC.
Saint, where is it that you’re not being obedient, committed to God in either small or big tasks?
Where is it that you’re lacking Tthe Fear of The LORD, and like king Saul, are being stubborn in heart?
Selah.
God bless,
A saint crying out to God for fullness of deliverance and the manifestation of salvation.
