A woman caught in adultery, was surrounded by people who wanted to stone her to death. She hears the voices of condemnation, accusation and hatred. But Jesus shows up and says, “Let the one who is without sin cast the first stone.”

Then an amazing thing happens… they all leave! The only one left is the woman and Jesus. He then asks, “Woman, where are your accusers?”

“There are none” she answers.

So He says, “Then neither do I accuse you, go and sin no more.”

This is a beautiful picture of all of us.

Often we hear so many voices; voices of accusation, criticism, rejection, condemnation, jealousy, discouragement, and doubt.

But we also hear voices of flattery and praise. We can spend our whole lives listening to these voices and worry about what they will think or say from one point to the next, or we can stop wasting our time dwelling on those voices and listen for the one and only voice that matters; the voice of the Lord.

His is the only voice that will be heard in the end. So listen for His voice and obey Him, so that you may hear Him say one day, “Well done thou good and faithful servant.”
