The Old Paths
When I say old paths I mean: not back to the old denominational beginnings, but, further back then that…………
One needs walk in the steps of the Savior and live as he lived. One, to be in the old path, needs study closely where Jesus the Son of God lived, and with whom me was most concerned.
Study closely for whom He lived and died. Then understand He sought not His own self desires, but said: “Nevertheless let thy will be done!”
Some modern day old paths will lead one away from the lifestyle of the Savior and lead them over the same cliff that those paths went years ago. Oh see their final end!
We need to go farther…… Back.
We need to walk like Enoch walked…. So far with the LORD that he was not found, and evidently taken…
See him walking on and on till the evening shadows grew long and the cares of the world were totally out of sight.
See him as he walked closer, c l o s e r, closer, c l o s e r… and even yet more intimate, till he came to the old crossroad and crossed over to forever walk in the old path.
Take the world and give me Jesus! Oh to be like Him and imitate His very life.
