The New Age Counterfeits
The New Age, in their wide Agenda, have counterfeited various spiritual gifts, the gifts that in their originality were meant for the children of God.
All false religions have at some point counterfeited what belong to us. We need those voices who will realign the authenticity of the gifts of the Holy Spirit and yet expose New Age deceptions. Those who are gifted in the body of messiah must continue in those gifts but with the correct attitude and motives, character and holiness.
If we are running for the gifts without Godly characters, then we are just like the counterfeiters.
The office of a prophet
Really, the office of a prophet has less to do with foreseeing, as much as it has to do with giving direction to the body of Jesus.
Likewise, the office of a prophet is no greater than any other, according to Ephesians 4:11.
Those who think to be a prophet is greater calling than others, either assigned themselves this role or are under manipulation. I have also witnessed people that will never recognize a prophet in honor due to this office, as they think, to honor a prophet is to make them ride on undeservedly high pedestal.
When Paul told all to covet prophecy, he was not calling us to the office of a prophet, he was simply saying, the gifting is accessible for all. Now all can prophesy, the question is, what grace is bestowed upon the Prophet, uniquely above the gifting?
And this mystery can only be solved when you welcome a prophet in the name of a prophet.
“And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,” Ephesians 4:11.

It is best for all Believers in Christ to study Biblical Historical Prophecy in the Scripture and get accurate interpretation by the Spirit of God and well know reputable Bible Teachers.
