The New Man in Christ
My desire in this post is to make the New Man know who Jesus is, and to at the same time help him understand his place in Jesus Christ.
An excerpt from my forthcoming book “The New Man in Christ“.
Part 1.
Christ is all in all…
Jesus while on earth, made it clear that He is superior to Abraham, Moses, David or Elijah. In fact He was superior to the Temple, for everything about the Temple spoke of Him.
He is:
-
- Temple
- Priest
- Sacrifice
- King
Jesus as the temple:
The temple was made of certain materials. Accasia wood (his humanity) gold (his divinity)…..
The bronze represents his suffering. The colours of the temple reveals his personality and put together, his mission. Purple (royalty), white (righteous and holy) red (sacrifice) blue (glory).
All the major colours will read thus:
The righteous (white) glorious (blue) king (purple) who became the sacrifice (red)…
Everything you can imagine of the temple spoke of Jesus Christ but the people were too blind to see….
Jesus as the sacrifice: John the Baptist called Him, “The Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world.”
He is not just the sacrificial lamb, but also the scapegoat that takes the sins of the people away from the city.
Jesus was the two goats of sacrifice as is prescribed in Leviticus. One to be slain and the other to be chased away into the mountains carrying the sins of the people outside the city, for Jesus was chased away from the city with whips and stones to the mountain of Golgotha to be killed!
While He was been chased, He fulfilled the scriptures by taking the sin of the people outside the city and then when he was slain, spilled His Blood on them crying, “Father forgive them..”
You will never understand, know and walk in the full power and authority of who the new man in Christ (you) is, until you fully grasp the understanding of who Jesus is!
Part 1
Like I was saying above, Jesus is superior to any other before Him in the flesh and even superior to The Tabernacle of Moses or the Temple of Solomon in all its glories.
While Moses built a semi-mobile Tabernacle, Solomon built a stationary Temple and God had made it clear that He does not dwell in temples made by man’s hand.
Jesus came to introduce a new kind of Temple never seen or envisaged before: “A mobile temple.”
This kind of Temple had never been heard of in the history of man on earth, yet God is in it, but the people were blind to it.
Let’s not so concern ourselves with the bandwagon craze of building a magnificent structure we call Church, and pride ourselves as pastors of the world’s largest single auditorium church.
This is the mentality Jesus came to do away with, yet that which many of us are re establishing.
Let us focus more in building the kind of Temples He built in the person of Jesus, who is our role model.
God’s dream is to have all the face of the earth doted with mobile temples, just as Jesus was on earth. You are His Temple.
As Jesus is, so are we.
The new man in Christ is a product of the New Testament and Jesus Christ is that New Testament, greater than the Law (Moses) and the Prophet’s (Elijah) with a far exceeding and greater glory.
The same glory which is on Jesus, is the same glory on the New Man who we all are, if indeed we belong to Him….
