The Man From Nazareth
A Psalm to praise and sing to God, out loud.
The Man From Nazareth
Hey, hey have you heard of the Good News?
Hey, hey have you heard of the Man from Nazareth?
He was born into a humble manger
From far away came curious strangers
He was just a babe, but was The King of kings
Born to rule and bring peace
To all those who believed
To give them life everlasting
Hey, hey have you heard the of Good News?
Hey, hey have you heard of the Man from Nazareth?
He grew up as a carpenter
Learning the ways of His trade
Until one day He appeared
At the banks of the River Jordan
Where He was baptized and a dove flew over
His Father was well pleased
Hey, hey have you heard of the Good News?
Hey, hey have you heard of the Man from Nazareth?
He went from town to town
Speaking of His Father’s Covenant
Oh Jesus was His name; He was more than a man
And to all who came, He laid hands on
and cured them all
Faith in Him was all that was required
Hey, hey have you heard of the Good News?
Hey, hey have you heard of the Man from Nazareth?
He broke bread and fed the hungry
He multiplied the fish from the sea
Miracle after miracle after miracle
The impossible became possible
All because of who He was
He did only what He saw His Father do
Hey, hey, have you heard of the Good News?
Hey, hey, have you heard of the Man from Nazareth?
The Man from Nazareth,
He died on the Cross so that we may live
And to all those who have eyes to see and ears to hear
Know that He is the Son of God:
The Truth, The Way and The Life!
Praise be to the King of kings, that Man from Nazareth!
“And from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood.” Revelation 1:5.
“On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords.” Revelation 19:16.
“Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.” And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink of it, all of you, for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. I tell you I will not drink again of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s Kingdom.”” Matthew 26:26-29.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16.
“So Jesus said to them, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he, and that I do nothing on my own authority, but speak just as the Father taught me.” John 8:28.
“After this Jesus went away to the other side of the Sea of Galilee, which is the Sea of Tiberias. And a large crowd was following him, because they saw the signs that he was doing on the sick. Jesus went up on the mountain, and there he sat down with his disciples. Now the Passover, the feast of the Jews, was at hand. Lifting up his eyes, then, and seeing that a large crowd was coming toward him, Jesus said to Philip, “Where are we to buy bread, so that these people may eat?” He said this to test him, for he himself knew what he would do. Philip answered him, “Two hundred denarii[a] worth of bread would not be enough for each of them to get a little.” One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to him, “There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are they for so many?” Jesus said, “Have the people sit down.” Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, about five thousand in number. Jesus then took the loaves, and when he had given thanks, he distributed them to those who were seated. So also the fish, as much as they wanted. And when they had eaten their fill, he told his disciples, “Gather up the leftover fragments, that nothing may be lost.” So they gathered them up and filled twelve baskets with fragments from the five barley loaves left by those who had eaten. When the people saw the sign that he had done, they said, “This is indeed the Prophet who is to come into the world!”” John 6:1-14.
“Jesus said to him, “I AM The Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6.
“Just as day was breaking, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. Jesus said to them, “Children, do you have any fish?” They answered him, “No.” He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast it, and now they were not able to haul it in, because of the quantity of fish. That disciple whom Jesus loved therefore said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment, for he was stripped for work, and threw himself into the sea. The other disciples came in the boat, dragging the net full of fish, for they were not far from the land, but about a hundred yards[a] off.” John 21:4-8.
“And a voice came from heaven, “You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased.”” Mark 1:11.
“And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your disease.”” Mark 5:34.
“He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,” Hebrews 1:3.
“And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” Hebrews 11:6.
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6.
