The LORD’s Demonstration of The Spirit
“And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words. And it was not of man’s wisdom….” 1 Corinthians 2:4.
There was more than one admonishment from the writers of the New Testament concerning man’s wisdom.
They wrote and spoke to The Church. The old writings were clear in the same kind of reference.
Knowing what man knows, is not always spiritual. His wisdom is not from above; we learn much, but we know very little.
In the demonstration of The Spirit and of Power, he went on to give a reason for the instruction he was giving to The Church then, and to The Church today.
“That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men; but, (and we must get this), in the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:5 emphasis added.
Our Faith today must be in The Power of God!
What God can do, what He can perform and what He says. It cannot be said stronger, that in this hour, we must hear from God.
Our very existence as a believer, will be determined by what we hear The Spirit saying to The Church.
We are The Church. What is The Spirit saying to us?
There was a time, when we often quoted a Scripture that went like, “search out your ‘own’ soul salvation, with fear and trembling.”
It has always been, but even more so now, that we have our own knowledge and understanding of the ways of God.
We’ve got to know how He Works! And we absolutely must know when it is God who is speaking, and when it’s not.
I believe that we were perhaps somewhat more acute in The Spirit at one time, than we may be now.
Even in the early beginning of The Church as we know it here, our ability to discern things was sharp.
It’s though we were born with certain spiritual ability when we received The Baptism of The Holy Ghost. We knew almost instantly if someone was ‘in the flesh.‘
I don’t want to address this, but when you are subject to The Voice of The Spirit, you don’t always have a choice.
It seems that there has been a rash of decreeing and declaring going forth on here (Facebook). It has become very loud.
I realize that much is done in earnestness, and some, or maybe a bit too much in — let’s call it — zeal.
But something is missing in a lot of it. It’s The Unction of The Holy Ghost.
We read a lot and we share a lot here. It’s been a life source for me. I have been ministered to and The Spirit has spoken to me clearly through so much of what’s been given through His Ministers.
God has used this space in a way we never could have imagined. I’m better for it.
“Why such an urgency?” you might ask. Because many are going to be deceived in this time.
There is going to be much delusion and much division in our land and in this world. With great sadness and fear, I’m afraid much will happen in what we call The Body of Christ also.
Why? Because we are distracted. We have indeed let man’s wisdom and man’s instruction determine our levels of awareness and our sensitivity in The Spirit.
The cares of this life, the terrible deceitfulness of riches and the desire for power and control, have caused us to shift our attention away from what is The True Power.
If any of us are not searching to follow after the leading of The Spirit right now, we are doomed.
In myself, I have no doubt that we are going to be overtaken by forces we once knew well. The Scripture says to “know your enemy.”
Paul said “we are not ignorant of Satan’s devices” (2 Corinthians 2:11). Remember, ‘resist the devil and he will flee from you….” (James 4:7).
How strong is our Resistance and how much Power do we really have, at this very moment?
Being lukewarm is an illness! It is a spiritual illness that comes from a true lack of Holy Ghost exercise.
There are so many monitors and lights moving on many Church Platforms, that it’s hard to focus on what the minister is trying to speak about.
In too many places, there is so much form going on that we could miss the true Voice of The Spirit.
What if The Holy Ghost spoke to the Minister and said,
“Shut off all the electronic lights!
Turn off the monitors and unplug the keyboards!
I have something I want to say to this people!
“I”, want to do something.
How many tongues and interpretations do you hear going forth?
Does The Holy Ghost speak and say, “I AM displeased with this?””
God, please help me here…..
We will no longer get away with claiming to have so much ‘Power’, and not demonstrate it in its fullness.
So many of our young people, do not even know what the true and genuine demonstration of The Spirit is.
We will return to the real thing, and not just some form or mere part of it?
Casting out devils will return once more, because his dark spirits will have no need to hide among us anymore.
We’ll wake up — and we will begin to shake ourselves.
Let us revive that Power and use it to restore what’s been taken. It’s no longer about us. And the truth is — it never was!

Amen brother !
I
The Bible is replete with stories of God rescuing His people. Why wouldn’t we be decreeing and declaring and interceding and hopeful? I’m counting on the prophets for encouragement in these dark days. Many of their words resonate with my spirit and I am very grateful for them.
May God help us always to know that the Advocate(the Holy Spirit) is ever with us to direct & teach us all about God if we will be willing, obedient & humble ourselves. May God help each an everyone of us to listen & put the words of God to practice in Jesus Christ name. More Grace & divine healing from above Sir. Thanks for sharing
Yes! Robert, you write the truth in love.
Many in the church are led to build their house on sand, instead of on the rock.
Jesus said: “Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain fell, the torrents raged, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because its foundation was on the rock.
But everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain fell, the torrents raged, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell—and great was its collapse!” Mt 7:24-27
Be doers of the word, and not hearers only. Otherwise, you are deceiving yourselves. James 1:22
For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires. So they will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. 2 Timothy 4:3-4
Thank you for this word.
Churches, home group churches, ministers and individuals could benefit our worship times if only we could be still in God’s presence. Invite His Holy Spirit in. Wait upon the Lord. Listen for His voice. Be obedient and patient.
“Be still and know that I AM GOD”
Bless you, sir for your obedience.
Praying for your health to improve. May the Lord bless you and keep you.
