The LORD’s Birds
A Psalm to praise and sing to God, out loud.
The LORD’s Birds
The way of birds tells about The LORD’s Love
The freedom to soar and captivate His Heart
The freedom to glide through the storms
Their majestic swoops and turns
Celebrate His Mighty SPIRIT
For all of them He adores
Their tiny beaks, their colorful feathers
Their melodious songs
Of early morning praise
Of noon day joy
Of evening thanks
Reveal The LORD’s Infinite Grace
How each one has a special place
In His Heart set apart for His Joy
They command the skies as He declared so
Perfection reflected in each wing
Beating with speed, precision, and strength
Each tiny feathered creature has its own unique flight
That displays its love for the Creator on High
He smiles; His Heart is filled with so much love
So enamored is He with His Creation
And when the winds rise up
They take flight
Gliding effortlessly on His Breath
His SPIRIT navigates them flawlessly
Up and up and up they mount
Higher and higher and higher they soar
Theirs is a freedom that cannot be caged
Theirs is a freedom that cannot be bridled
Pure expressions of His Grace
They have not a care in the world
Trusting Him for all
They sing among the branches and by the waterways
Declaring His Never Ending Glory
Look at them in the air so fair;
They neither sow, nor reap, nor gather
And yet He feeds them all the same
Even the sparrow finds a home,
And the swallow a nest for herself,
Where she may lay her young—
At Your Altars, O LORD of Hosts,
My King and My God.
Oh Father LORD
Let us be like Your Birds:
Let our voices praise You as they do
Let our hopes soar with You as they do
Let our lives depend on You as they do
Completely, in total surrender, without a care
For we are made in Your Image—
How much more valuable are we to You
Than the little sparrow You scoop into Your Hand
When it has sung it’s last song
When it’s wings have graced the sky for the last time;
Into Your care it goes
And You bring it home?
Praise You O Mighty and Gentle LORD
My heart swells with love for You
Praise You O Magnificent and Awesome LORD
My voice sings of Your Glory without end
Praise You O Gracious and Infinite LORD
My life is entrusted into Your Protective Hands
You, LORD of Hosts who created everything
You, LORD of Hosts who watches over every living thing
Thank you Father LORD for caring for us so deeply
Oh, may our lives be like those of Your Birds!

Gabrielle Fuehrer came to The LORD in Spring 2020 and soon began receiving inspiration from The Holy Spirit in the form of Poems (Psalms), meant to praise, glorify and worship our Lord Jesus Christ and uplift the Body of Christ. A preschool teacher, surrounded by the blessings and love of the little ones she teaches, Gabrielle also runs the website, “Imagine a Love Like That“.
“Let everything that has breath praise The LORD.” Psalm 150:6.
I have looked after two baby pigeons this year and seen them leave home for the big world with all its dangers. Then they and many others came for food on our communal roof terrace. It was a lovely moment each day to see them eat and drink. However the neighbours were not keen and I had to stop feeding them. In several of my daily readings I had the word that God feeds them…..but it was still heartbreaking. Anyway just last week I have found two pigeons, one after the other, who were badly injured by cats. They came to my roof terrace to eventually die in peace and protection.I suspect that one of them might have been one of my two.I have been thinking around all this and what the Lord is showing me. Can God really be so caring as to put me in the path of a dying bird when a few minutes earlier or later I may not have found it? I think the answer is yes.
Thank you so much i totally enjoyed your poem!
Gabrielle, it is so refreshing to read these encouraging words.
They who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength. Amen! We give you all the Glory Lord.
Blessings.
Your praise is mighty warfare, Ms Gabrielle!
