The LORD Will Make the Bitter Waters Sweet Again!
2 Words in 1
A Wall of Fire Around You!
Today, your Loving Father says to you, “I myself will be a wall of fire around you!” just like the shepherds made fires around their flock to keep the devourer from coming close.
God will not only make a hedge around you like He did Job, He will not make brick walls that can be broken down, He will not only be the mountains around you because mountains can be climbed over, but He shall be a wall of fire around you!
This cannot be broken through or scaled, the foundations of it cannot be shaken. He is not on just one side, but every side!
God’s Wall of Fire is our protection, our promise from Him.
It does not mean you will be free of the problems and difficulties, but no matter what the problem is you can rest assured He is burning all around you.
His Fire is always ablaze! The refining in your life right now may be slow and feeling quite painful.
You may be feeling as though God has stopped working. I say unto you, “Don’t lose heart!”
Do not despise the small beginnings and stay on your path.
I hear The LORD say, “Sing and rejoice, for behold I AM coming and will dwell in your midst.
Remember My Power burns all around you. I have never stopped burning for you from the day you were born.”
The LORD Will Make the Bitter Waters Sweet Again!
The LORD is showing me a vision of someone with a cup in their hand.
I see them bring the cup to their lips and take a drink of the water that fills this cup. They immediately spit it out because it is very bitter.
I sense this person has been very faithful and obedient to God. They are surprised that God has given them such a bitter and difficult cup to drink.
They have struggled to realize this is something that they have to embrace and walk out. Their heart’s cry has been, “Not my will be done, LORD, but Your will be done.”
I see them bowed over with the heavy weight upon their back as they faithfully walk this difficult path, not knowing how long it will take or when it will reach its end.
They wonder when they will see His promised blessings come to fruition in their lives.
Who hasn’t come to the bitter waters of Marah? (Exodus 15:22-27)
When we do, our first thought is this watering hole is not going to cut it. Surely God is going to take us down the road to a new, fresh, and clear place where we can drink and be satisfied? He will give us that quick fix in our situation!
The Israelites had come to their place of bitter waters and expected God to change it and make it sweeter.
The LORD showed them a tree. The wood that when brought to bear on the bitter turns it to sweet.
God doesn’t lead us to another water hole to drink from. He shows us how we can drink from any water hole.
Praise God! No matter how bad the waters are. He tells us, “I’m not changing a thing, I’m giving you a lasting ordinance, a foul-proof way to make your bitter waters sweet.”
When you face those moments that you just cannot seem to get your cup down, I see the hand of Jesus pointing to a cross floating on top of bitter waters.
The Cross changes everything. It makes the bitter sweet because absolutely nothing is “old.”
Behold, all things have become new! Everything is new and full of purpose. It is the bridge that is built over these waters as you cross over to the other side of your trial!
I hear the LORD say, “You have cut down some trees, removed some boulders, climbed some steep hills, walked through the scorching desert and been up to your knees in the swamp lands.
This bitter cup has been hard for you to swallow. Know that you have come up before me as a precious and sweet aroma.
As you see all of the beauty that I will unfold in your life, it will be well worth everything you had to walk through to receive the bountiful harvest that I AM going to bring.
Do not grow weary in well doing, but press in, press in. The mountains will melt as wax before you.
Those things that have seemed like impossible barriers and barricades will come tumbling down before you.I will turn what was darkness into My marvelous Light. And I will make the bitter waters sweet again!”
Bitter Waters Made Sweet
“22 So Moses brought Israel from the Red Sea; then they went out into the Wilderness of Shur. And they went three days in the wilderness and found no water. 23 Now when they came to Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter. Therefore the name of it was called Marah. 24 And the people complained against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?” 25 So he cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a tree. When he cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweet.
There He made a statute and an ordinance for them, and there He tested them, 26 and said, “If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you.”
27 Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve wells of water and seventy palm trees; so they camped there by the waters.” Exodus 15:22-27.
