The Lord says, Keep your hands off My people — 4 Comments

  1. Let us be reminded by the words of our Lord who came down from heaven to die on our behalf, The Son of the Living God! He rebuked the Jewish leadership for their lack of belief!
“No wonder you can’t believe! For you gladly honor each other, but you don’t care about the honor that comes from the one who alone is God. “Yet it isn’t I who will accuse you before the Father. Moses will accuse you! Yes, Moses, in whom you put your hopes. If you really believed Moses, you would believe me, because he wrote about me. But since you don’t believe what he wrote, how will you believe what I say?” (‭John‬ ‭5‬:‭44-47‬ NLT)

Brothers and sisters, we over come by the word of our testimony about The Lord Jesus not our works, not ourselves. Our mission is to save souls and edify and encourage The Lord’s people. The Holy Spirit focuses our eyes to Christ, not Moses. How do we know this, the word says “-But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (‭Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭1‬:‭8‬ NLT)
The bible also says this about the Holy Spirit: “But I will send you the Advocate —the Spirit of truth. He will come to you from the Father and will testify all about me. And you must also testify about me because you have been with me from the beginning of my ministry. (‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭26-27‬ NLT)

Prophets of The Lord are to be governed by the Spirit of our Lord. The bible says: But one who prophesies strengthens others, encourages them, and comforts them. (‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭14‬:‭3‬ NLT)

Let’s stay focused on Lord Jesus, whom have made us right with the Father by washing us in His Own blood. Lifting up His name will heal, deliver, and save. He alone has the power to do this. Let us encourage our church family by pointing the to our Lord Jesus, not to Moses, who Jesus says “condemns you” but to our Living Savior Jesus who said He will not condemn.

Praise and Honor and Glory And Power be to Our Lord Jesus! Praise to our Father who loved us so much he gave us His only Son to be the sweet sacrifice that allows us to be right with Him and receive his protection and love. Let’s offer Jesus to each other and watch the power of The Lord work in our lives!

    • Thank you. Jesus spoke in parables so this is just his way of using an example to teach us more. I love what you added though !

    • Edification also has this definition-new testament prophecy -1 Cor 14 3-4 the beginning of the gospel starting with john as scripture records -luke 16:16 additional comment concerning John from Jesus Mathew 11 12-13. Johns edifying ministry according to the Word.-luke 3:7 and 3:17 examples hie prophetic ministry. Classified as exhortations in Luke 3:18 Isaiah classified johns ministry and prophecy as comfort. Isaiah 40 1-3. So we have doctrine in the gospel allowing for correction and rebuke classified as edification according to1 Cor 12:11 as the Spirit wills.

      • Of course dear brother. There are allowances for correction. But if we are not led to do such things by the spirit of the living God, who corrects His children with love, are we then acting to correct by man’s perceptions, which fall short of the wisdom and power displayed by our excellent Lord and Savior?

        I’m reminded by these verses:
Then Jesus told this story to some who had great confidence in their own righteousness and scorned everyone else: “Two men went to the Temple to pray. One was a Pharisee, and the other was a despised tax collector. The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed this prayer: ‘I thank you, God, that I am not a sinner like everyone else. For I don’t cheat, I don’t sin, and I don’t commit adultery. I’m certainly not like that tax collector! I fast twice a week, and I give you a tenth of my income.’ “But the tax collector stood at a distance and dared not even lift his eyes to heaven as he prayed. Instead, he beat his chest in sorrow, saying, ‘O God, be merciful to me, for I am a sinner.’ I tell you, this sinner, not the Pharisee, returned home justified before God. For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.” (‭Luke‬ ‭18‬:‭9-14‬ NLT)
My dear brother, walk in Christ’s love and He will take care of the corrections and rebuking through the lead of the Holy Spirit in the manner He approves to complete the work He deems fit. And also remember that
Love is the greatest commandment. As the bible says: Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special knowledge will become useless. But love will last forever! Now our knowledge is partial and incomplete, and even the gift of prophecy reveals only part of the whole picture! (‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13‬:‭4-9‬ NLT)
