The LORD is Phasing Out Many Ministries
Isaiah 43, Brought to Life!
A look ahead to see what The LORD will be doing soon.
Why am I thinking about dinosaurs? I know it’s something from The LORD, but what?
I see Velociraptor and T-Rex — savage brutes! I see Brontosaurus and other gentler beasts.
Then I hear The LORD say, “These are like many of today’s ministries — they’re old, they’re tired, they’re worn! In short, they’re past their sell-by date!
I AM phasing many of them out!”
“Why so, Lord?”
“So many are running only on past glories. Others are running on outdated and even errant theology.
Still others have simply lost the will to carry on in the current hostile climate!
It all comes back to Isaiah 43:18-19,
“Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”
Former things or seasons of The Holy Spirit led Revival.
New technology, demands new ideas. New ideas, demand new ways.
My theology remains the same, but My methods utilise what is at hand that is useful, helpful, and which can be sanctified for My use.
My servant William Booth had it summed up well when he said, “We shall take the devils devices, sanctify them, and use them for God’s Glory!”
He was talking about money — but his intentions were holy and righteous, and can be applied today to current technology and innovations!
So, I AM retiring those ministries that have run their course. They will continue to faithfully serve Me, but in new ways, as I lead them.
Sadly, some will be exposed in the coming shaking, and will just fade away, but most will transition gracefully into new things.
Did I not say that I will do a new thing; even make a new road in the wilderness and a river in the desert?
This new technology, that I refer to, is also that which will be understood by the younger generation!
They will lead the way, using the new technology, and thus they will communicate to others of their generation that many of the older saints just cannot reach.
Their hunger for the word of The LORD, (Amos 8:11-13), will be communicated and understood because of the technology used in that communication!”
As The LORD also said to me once, when I was faced with an ‘impossible’ personal situation, “Watch Me!”— then He added, “and see if I won’t use this ‘new thing’ in the coming season!”
The season of ‘New Things’ is upon us right now.
There is a door before this generation of mature saints — it is The Door of Technical Innovation — and we must determine to join and encourage the new, or to ignore and thereby risk missing out on the great Harvest it will bring.
The Valley of Decision looms large, as much to The Church as it does to the unchurched or lost!
Do not shrink back from, or try to ignore new technology.
Rather embrace it and see how we may all use it for God’s Glory and for His Kingdom!
In awe and Fear of The LORD
““Behold, the days are coming,” says The LORD God, “that I will send a famine on the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of The LORD.
They shall wander from sea to sea, and from north to east; they shall run to and fro, seeking the word of The LORD, but shall not find it. In that day the fair virgins and strong young men shall faint from thirst.”” Amos 8:11-13
~ Chris G. Bennett
Chris Bennett came to salvation in 1962 but didn’t begin ministry until 2007 — a late-comer! Now mandated by The LORD to prophesy and open old wells of revival in the U.K., but especially in Wales. He has also operated Healing Rooms, and worked with deliverance teams, all with his wife, Linda. Happily now doing whatever The LORD asks of them! Founder, with wife Linda, of their ministry The Upper Room Encounter.
I have been resisting this word for a whole year now especially about my own home church. It has run its course and the Lord is planting within His faithful ones new ways to build Spirit led, Word teaching, World reaching Christian communities not based on money or old covenant imagery, but on the person of Jesus Christ.
