The LORD is in the Kitchen!
The LORD is in the Kitchen! Sit! Eat!
Junk food, fast food, and drive-thru’s.
If you’re busily going on the lane called this life, in a hurry, from point A to point B — you may just need a good home-cooked meal.
I’m sure we all have stopped at one of hundreds of big old burger drive-thru’s in our day.
As my Mom used to say, “it’s not home cookin’ — but it’ll keep you alive, till you get a “real meal”.
The same is true in our minds and hearts — we need to get the junk thoughts out of our temples.
Disappointments. Confusion. Disillusionment. Malice. Resentments. That spiritual junk food can kill us as quickly as a cancer in the body.
In this hour — I know I can’t afford to have spiritual or physical infirmities impeding what God wants to do in my life.
I don’t know about you, but God’s Spirit has been lovingly, constantly Wooing me to a deeper surrender to Him.
It’s like nothing is off the table these days. I’m aware of His presence everywhere . It’s a more-heightened awareness of His glory.
I believe The LORD is causing an acceleration of awareness to His Presence — in our waking moments.
I’m sure you feel it too? It’s nothing we did or didn’t do. It’s His presence-glory showing up. Sometimes unannounced. It’s as if the earth’s atmosphere is pregnant with anticipation of the big reveal.
Back in 1983, The LORD downloaded this poem to me, but just a few words will say it all
“I am pregnant with the seasons of The LORD, and I will give birth to a summer child.”
At the time, and being new to the things of the Spirit and how God spoke, I honestly thought it was just a cute little ditty that He whispered to me.
Now, in 2024, I realize it was a prophetic, foreshadowing of exactly where we’re at now in history.
In fact , The LORD spoke to me months ago, I wrote it on my calendar, that this Spring and into Summer — He is coming in His presence — in a way we haven’t known before.
I really didn’t know what that meant — but I know it involves change.
Change is coming on every front. This is The LORD’s hour. This is the Season of His harvest. This is His earth, His nations, His people, His harvest, and we are His home.
Speaking of home — I’m hearing this now… “Tell them the Chef is in the Kitchen, and He is cooking up the tastiest, most nutritious, most satisfying stew you’ll ever have”.
I am seeing a garden, His Garden. There are His home-grown, hand-picked winning heirloom tomatoes, kissed by His own Son.
He has potatoes that were gleaned and harvested from the corners of the field, as Ruth was permitted to glean, from her (soon to be) kinsman-redeemer, Boaz. From his own stalks, in a garden not unlike the greens that grow in the fields close to Jerusalem’s garden tombs.
The clean water in the large pot came from the Yardeneit (Israel’s Jordan River). The choicest meat is from the strength bulls of Bashan, abd the spices are from his over-flowing love – as in the Song of Solomon.
” Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, ” Ephesians 1:3
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew 6:33
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.” James 1:17.
Is your mouth watering yet?
Just as there’s no real nutrition in processed fast foods, the remnant church has no time left to squander into greasy dive joints — eating from the table of this world’s system.
We will only win the crown of life, the high prize — the calling we’re called to — if we eat His living manna daily.
I take communion at home daily anymore. It makes all the difference. I feel this may be crucial, in the days ahead.
So, no more driving down the road of life, trying to open those hermetically sealed ketchup packets, (as it squirts all over your nice shirt), and watching to make sure you can break before the light turns red.
Hey, we were all a 20 year-old once, right? Now we’re grown-ups. We can eat meat.
Remember to partake of His Communion table. Living manna is there.
“And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you,” Luke 22:19-20
“Now in giving these instructions I do not praise you, since you come together not for the better but for the worse. For first of all, when you come together as a church, I hear that there are divisions among you, and in part I believe it. For there must also be factions among you, that those who are approved may be recognized among you. Therefore when you come together in one place, it is not to eat the Lord’s Supper. For in eating, each one takes his own supper ahead of others; and one is hungry and another is drunk. What! Do you not have houses to eat and drink in? Or do you despise the church of God and shame those who have nothing? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you in this? I do not praise you.”
Institution of the Lord’s Supper
“For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”
For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.”
Examine Yourself
“Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep. For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.
Therefore, my brethren, when you come together to eat, wait for one another. 34 But if anyone is hungry, let him eat at home, lest you come together for judgment. And the rest I will set in order when I come.” 1 Corinthians 11:17-34
I’m endeavoring these days, (though still a work in progress), to be as wise with what goes in my mouth (living foods) as what comes out (words).
Some days are better than others, and there is grace when we have slip-up’s.
No wonder the scripture says (Mark 16:18) — If you drink any deadly thing it won’t harm you.
My mother’s from the ground to the table – healthy grown homemade meals soups, stews, there was nothing like it.
When you walked in the kitchen, it smelled like love. Security. It smelled like home. Mom was dicing, chopping, and stirring with her wooden spoons.
Telling us to wash up for supper. The kitchen was the heart of the home: Mom was there.
“And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.”” John 6:35
“As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you; and you shall be comforted in Jerusalem.” Isaiah 66:13
“Through wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established;” Proverbs 24:3
The laundry that had been hanging on the line all day was in a basket to go up, kissed by the sun.
Sleep was going to be good that night, cause there’s nothing like sleeping on sun-kissed sheets.
Solar energy was the planet God made: His sun, a washline and clothes pins. We have clean linens and garments too — they’ve been out in the Son shine too.
” I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.” Revelation 3:18
“And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.” Revelation 19:8
Our WW11 era Dad’s came home after a blue-collar, sweat-of-the-brow job after 12 hour shifts, and nothing felt as safe and secure as when Dad came through that door.
To my 6 year old mind — he was like Hercules. Nothing is wrong, everything is right — cause Papa is in the house.
Well, Jehovah-Abba, our Daddy, our Papa, is in the house.
Nothing and no one gonna hurt ya. He’s been cookin’ up a big batch of love.
Been simmering on the furnace of the ages for 6,000 years.
“A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy habitation. God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity; but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.” Psalm 68:5-6.
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’” Isaiah 41:10
“You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah” Psalm 32:7
It’s all ready now. Family’s all coming home — soon, everyone will be home.
He wants you to sit at His table and feast. There’s plenty of servers — His Angels have been anticipating your arrival. They are ready to serve.
The Holy Spirit is there. You were carried and tended to — in all of your wounds. Healing balms of Gilead were applied, even when you slept.
““Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream. Then you shall feed; on her sides shall you be carried, and be dandled on her knees.” Isaiah 66:12
Wait. I’m hearing the dinner bell… “soups on”.
But wait – the royal guest of honor just walked in — the Father’s only Son.
You’ll be sitting on His right — next to Him.
As they say in Italy:
‘Quindi mangia gia’. So, eat already!

Thank you to all of you for your encouraging words. God is so good to meet us right where we live. He’s gracious. He’s humble
HALLELUJAH! This word is just a confirmation for me. The part about the awareness of the presence of the LORD. The LORD told me to wait on Him in fasting last 3 days in February and to seek just one thing- The Presence of the LORD. He told me I’m being called into the realm of FULLNESS. IT’S ONLY IN HIS PRESENCE THAT THERE IS FULLNESS OF…whatever aspects of our lives that He wants to bring into His fullness.
Thank you prophet!
Wow. I really feel this is special, Elizabeth.
There was a word maybe a week or so ago about eating at the Lord’s table. Then another where it was referenced. And now, yours is very interesting on the topic.
Yesterday I fancied that I heard God talk about dealing with my “slight” pot belly. Have you ever had 20 victories on a subject, but the victory doesn’t shift the pot belly in question? Both statements, victory and pot belly staying, can be true. Prophetic reality. Except, there may be another 20 victories to have. Ha.
Anyway, loved your word.
Oh my. Thank you for this, sweet sister. What a beautiful call to enter into Kingdom territory and out of this mess. Thank you thank you thank you.
Oh wow, this is so familiar. It’s like reading my journal. Thank you so much for sharing this post. May God continue to bless you day by day
Oh Elizabeth this is so very deep but simply put all the way through. (The true simplicity of the gospel message.)
It spoke volumes to me and has me reexamining my own heart.
Yes and Amen to
“I believe The LORD is causing an acceleration of awareness to His Presence — in our waking moments.”
Thank you my sister. Much love in Christ, Joyce ❤️
