The LORD is GOD!
Many times God’s children forget who He truly is. They know a lot about Him, but yet in times of need, hardship or change, they act like He is not God.
They lose hope, pray religiously, and operate in wishful thinking, rather than faith-filled confidence. However, this time, let’s receive permanent comprehension of who our God is.
We will experience supernatural manifestations of His power, goodness and intervention, as we pray.
The title of this article comes from the most miraculous prayer experience written in the Old Testament, as Elijah yet again proved God’s power publicly.
‘Hear me, O Lord , hear me, that this people may know that You are the Lord God, and that You have turned their hearts back to You again.”
Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench. Now when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said, “The LORD, He is GOD! The LORD, He is GOD!” 1 Kings 18:37-39.
Understanding God’s attributes will galvanize our faith and, fine-tune our faith and resolve as you live a victorious life in Christ.
GOD IS:-
✅ TRUSTWORTHY
God is dependable and therefore worthy of our trust. He does what He said He will do.
His nature doesn’t change; He is not moody or fickle; He is always the same good God, our fathers Of faith knew.
Consider these scriptures -:
“God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” Numbers 23:19.
“Certainly not! Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar. As it is written: “That You may be justified in Your words, and may overcome when You are judged.” Romans 3:4.
“For I am the Lord , I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob,” Malachi 3:6.
“Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath. God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged,” Hebrews 6:17-18 NIV
God doesn’t lie like man; He won’t change His mind about you, therefore what He says holds true all the time. Even when it doesn’t seem so, and all men are opposing it; it’s the men who are liars but never God. This should give you the impetus to press on, even against staggering opposition, trusting in God’s word. Trust His personal word to you.
God’s nature doesn’t change; He loves you, believes in you, wants you blessed – healthy, wealthy and wise (1 John 1:3).
Because He changes not, we are not consumed. Many times we fail Him, lie to Him and run away from Him, but we are not consumed because He changes not. He is the unchangeable God, and reliable God
It is impossible for God to lie. What He says is the standard of truth. It is that situation which is contrary to God’s word that is lying you.
It’s a lying vanity. Poverty, sickness etc are all liars, from the father of lies himself – the devil. God cannot lie. As you pray and seek His face, remember, He is a rewarder of those who seek Him diligently (Hebrews 11:6), trust Him for the biggest reward when you seek Him.
When you trust Him, you’ll not be ashamed.
“In You, O Lord, I put my trust; let me never be ashamed; deliver me in Your righteousness.” Psalm 31:1.
“For the Lord God will help Me; Therefore I will not be disgraced; therefore I have set My face like a flint, and I know that I will not be ashamed,” Isaiah 50:7.
TRUST HIM ALWAYS, your life will move to a higher level of GLORY.
