The LORD Is Examining the Thoughts and the Intents of Every Man’s Heart!

 

The LORD spoke to me regarding the word ‘crust‘.

He said that the crust is the outside of the layer that holds the filling of the pie.

It is the covering, layer, coating, cover, coat, sheet, thickness, film, and the skin even of the bread, according to Webster’s Dictionary!

The LORD said to me that the heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

“I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings,” Jeremiah 17:9-10.

“Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone,” Matthew 23:23.

The scribes and the Pharisees kept up the tradition of men and all the religious acts of what a Christian should be (looked like) by paying their tithes but they failed to keep the laws of God as many of us do when we are in a Luke warm state of mind.

We are so caught up in our own mind of what we think God wants that we forget to ask the Holy Spirit to examine our hearts in the weightier matters of the heart!

Jesus gave these religious leaders several woes but they never took the time out to actually ask God what Jesus truly meant by his parables and his sayings concerning them!

And, as a result, they continued on their path to hell collecting and giving money in the offering pan with their practices of diligently paying the tithe while neglecting to actually care for people.

They were prideful, arrogant and all they cared about was what was on the outside; never examining the inside of the pie.

While they were counting their mint leaves to make sure they gave one tenth to the temple, they “neglected the more important matters of the law — justice, mercy and faithfulness” (Matthew 23:23).

Help us Holy Ghost! LORD search our hearts know our thoughts! Try us and know our thoughts to see if any wicked ways are in us! (Psalms 139:23).

For, the heart is deceitful and desperately wicked and who can know it but the Holy Ghost oh God!

Jesus went on to say, “Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, (in your sister’s and brothers eyes) and swallow a camel. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup (the crust) and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also,” Matthew 23:24-26 KJV.

Jesus warned the religious leaders that they went about performing acts but did not have God-fearing hearts. And, so he let them know that it does no good, Jesus says, to clean up the outside when the inside is “full of greed and self-indulgence” (Matthew 23:25).

He said that the Pharisees and scribes were blind and did not recognize that, (in their minds they saw righteousness) when the inside is changed, the outside, too, will be transformed.

It is time to ask the Holy Ghost to examine us and not we ourselves! For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart, (Hebrews 4:12)

Come on somebody, it will cut all the way through both the filling and the pie crust giving you precise precision and accuracy!
