The Living Word Is Much More Than Just Words
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it,” John 1:1-5.
We know from scripture that the Word was there in the beginning, and that Word became flesh in the man and in the Son of God, Jesus Christ.
We study the “word” and we read it knowing that it points to God, and that through this reading and understanding, that then that word illuminates us, consoles us, directs us, and gives us hope.
And yet, the very word that became flesh and dwelt among us is not just a “word.”
Many people can quote scriptures; they can memorize and develop a knowledge for the word of God. But knowing the One that scripture points to is very different than knowing the words that speak of him.
Certainly it is true that if we didn’t have those words, then we would be at a great loss of knowing what the “truth” is.
Certainly without the word of God that is written down, we wouldn’t know of the life that He led, or of those who came before him.
We would know nothing of the patriarchs, nor of the prophets, or even of the wisdom of Solomon.
The very word of God nourishes us each and every day, just as water is needed for all growing things. Without the sun our earth would surely die out and freeze.
But more importantly, without the living Son, those things that speak of him would become null and void. Without an author a book is without meaning.
It amazes me each and every day that I can speak and can hear the very voice of God. It gives me great hope and peace that He is near me and that his Holy Spirit is within me and upon me.
To know him, surpasses all knowledge, or even of an understanding of his word. For having a person nearby one’s self greatly surpasses the memories of that person, or of anything that they have written down.
To speak and hear the words of a parent nearby is much more consoling than reading about them.
While the dew is still on roses
And the voice I hear falling
On my ear the son of God discloses
And He walks with me and He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known
He speaks and the sound of His voice
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing
And the melody that He gave to me
Within my heart is ringing
And He walks with me and He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known.

Stephen Hanson of In His Truth Ministries came to the LORD is a special way in 1975 and has prophesied regularly since. In these end-time birthing pangs we are reminded that judgment must first begin with the household of God. Will we be prepared and ready?
Father it is you that inspire and move men ; to write your word ;was is not you that allowed men to change ,your word ; taking your holy name out
