The Lion of Praise
Praise carries such great importance with God that when we get to heaven, it will form the biggest part of our heavenly activity to our heavenly – Father.
When going through hardships, it is only natural to complain, cry out in desperation and sometimes to feel like a victim. Whereas this attracts sympathy, it is not the spiritual way of facing challenges. People can commensurate with you, and even tell you how they understand how you feel, but this will give momentary emotional comfort and not the ultimate victory that you need. Complaining is offensive to God, especially when done to Him. Complaining is arguing with God, demanding your rights that have been ‘denied’, while grumbling. It gives you a feeling that God has grieved or wronged you, withheld help from you and that He has failed to keep His part of the bargain. Definitely that is a lie.
Let me show you the most excellent way; it is the way of praise. To praise means to extol, honour magnify and speak well of God. “I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together” Psalm 34:1-3 KJV. To praise means to bless the Lord at all times; the word bless means to eulogize, to speak well of someone. Regardless of your circumstances, speak well of God, He is never in a wrong nor does He have wrong intentions. He never fails. You have to teach your soul-your mind to boast in the Lord; remember the good things God has done for you, talk about them. Draw your confidence from His past goodness and boast in Him. Very importantly, as His children we need to magnify Him. Even when it doesn’t make sense to trust Him, remember your past victories and magnify Him.
When Paul and Silas, praised God while in the prison at midnight (Acts 16:25), the Lion of Praise roared. He roared so much so that there was an earthquake in the prison which led to their freedom, household salvation for the prison warden and increase in their ministry. Where they would have chosen to complain since they were imprisoned for serving God, and treated harshly, they chose to praise. You have no reason to complain whatsoever, but you have all the reasons to praise God. Make it your duty of love and adoration to praise God despite the circumstances, the Lion of Praise will roar on your behalf manifesting the desired victory against all odds.
Glorious Declaration.
I am a praiser and not a complainer!! In every circumstance, I am praising my God in victory. I magnify my God and see Him as He truly is, loving, unfailing and ever-present to Help. The Lion of Praise has prevailed as I praise and I can hear the roarings of victory.
Praise the Lord, Hallelujah!!
