The Lion and The Lamb
We sometimes forget that The Lamb of God — gentle and compassionate — is also the fierce LION of love, relentless and unyielding in his pursuit of his lost creation.
Strong and merciless when it comes to destroying the spiritual strongholds of a brutal and diabolical enemy.
The same Lamb is a Lion who will stop at nothing to reclaim his sons and daughters.
The same Lion who will allow nothing to hinder or dismay him in seeking to dismantle and destroy the devices of the enemy, and obliterate the chains that bind those in darkness.
The same God Who humbled Himself to wash His Disciple’s feet, was the same God who led David to seek out and defy that fearsome giant Goliath.
The same LORD who put it in David’s mighty men’s hearts to invade the impenetrable camp of the Enemy to refresh their master (2 Samuel 23:16) and to humiliate the forces of darkness.
The same God who cares for the broken, cares as much for those who the enemy thinks are beyond all help and hope.
The same God who led Israel to a pretty and refreshing promised land, also led them to the walls of Jericho and to the giants that stood in the way of the precious promises.
The God of rest and promise is the same God of battle and challenge to all the temporary advancement and encampment of an already defeated foe.
Believer, do you know your God this way?
If so, let me encourage you; FIGHT for your King!
Confront the enemy of men’s souls, advance against the strongholds of darkness, and take more and more of the land of Promise.
Your Savior once entered that same land and gave His life that we might have ours.
Now is the time to imitate that same lion, with the same fierce love and relentless courage that will stop at nothing to gain that for which He Himself gave everything for.
Time to not just follow The Lamb but to imitate The LION!
“So the three mighty men broke through the camp of the Philistines, drew water from the well of Bethlehem that was by the gate, and took it and brought it to David. Nevertheless he would not drink it, but poured it out to The LORD. ” 2 Samuel 23:16.
