The Light of Truth
We must totally identify with Christ in us, The Hope of Glory!
There is nothing more I can do to make myself right with God. When I strive to make myself right before Him, I become self-righteous.
In that state, everything is futile and worthless, because no one can be right with God without the perfect and finished Work that Christ did for us!
Jesus is our example also about finishing our tasks.
When he completed His Task on earth and He hung on that Cross and said, “It is finished!”
I pray each of us have that mindset to finish this race!
Serving The LORD takes a total commitment to Him, and the more we face self and want self to be seen, we are on the slippery slope of ease as we ease on down the road.
“For I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh [my human nature, my worldliness — my sinful capacity]. For the willingness [to do good] is present in me, but the doing of good is not.” Romans 7:18
In the days we live in, there are so many distractions that aim at the eye and ear of the body.
These types of images are like a mirage of things that we are faced with daily. We must remember that even the eye can be used to deceive us.
“And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter The Kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire” Mark 9:47
We cannot put confidence or trust even in our own flesh — for it is not our friend!
We are to bring our flesh under subjection to the Spirit of God daily. We must judge ourselves lest we be judged.
Just remember when faced with a mirage and if we are in a season and type of drought, desert, and wilderness the temptation always comes to tempt us to get off the path and go towards what looks easy.
Being led by the so-called appearance of distant images and things will lead us away from the path The LORD makes for us in the wilderness.
There are no shortcuts in our preparations. God doesn’t waste anything.
“Listen carefully, I am about to do a new thing, now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even put a road in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:19
We must learn to judge by the fruit of The Holy Spirit, because there are many pretenders out deceiving others and even deceiving themselves.
We must judge by the evidence that is set before us. We are supposed to watch and pray and obey!
We must repent of all evidence in ourselves that does not line up with God’s Word. A close walk with The LORD demands coming closer into alignment to his Word which is His Will and purpose.
We are speaking loud and clear by how we present ourselves to this world by word, deed, appearance, and in those we are in league with.
Reader, as I end these thoughts the prompting of The Holy Ghost asks a question….
Are we more aligned with the ways of this world, and our various societies following the trends instead of aligning with God’s Word which is Spirit and Life? Only you can answer this for you.
My prayer is for repentance, and I ask that The Holy Ghost reveal anything that is keeping us away from The LORD’s Will.
LORD, keep us close and help us to live a life of repentance and obedience to God.
