The Life of a True Prophet
I’m not allowed to speak prophetically by ABBA when I’m angry upset or dealing with anything that will have my spirit off balance or mind unfocused!
I don’t release Words concerning people’s lives because I’m having issues with them.
I will not speak word curses or destructive words concerning their character or their calling because we have had a disagreement!
I refuse to speak out of my flesh, just because of something I don’t agree with!
Why? Because if I’m a vessel of YAH and I am called to speak to His people.
I must always remember that I am held accountable for any words that come forth out my mouth that YAH didn’t say.
I can’t speak judgment on people just because I’m anointed.
The prophets of old didn’t go around be joyful when they had to give words of rebuke and correction. YAH had to rebuke Samuel for grieving over Saul and the word He gave him that came to pass!
Jeremiah wept much for the things he had to speak and saw that would come to pass.
True prophets operate from the heart of YAH. They feel what He feel. They don’t walk around arrogant and lifted up in self righteousness.
They recognize that they are only a vessel used by YAH to speak to His people.
Walking in obedience and humility was a top priority in their lives.
Some of this new generation use the prophetic to hurt, harm, curse and control people and to obtain funding for their lifestyles. This was never suppose to be!
The respect and reverence the true prophets received was because they spoke what was given to them by the Spirit of YAH; they walked in integrity and honor; and they obeyed YAH down to the smallest detailed when given instructions!
I love to see prophets obey the Father. When they prophesy from a pure place and you see their Holy committed walk with YAH, it’s a beautiful thing to see.
I have sat in the presence of some true prophetic voices who spoke with no agenda and no motives and watched them also labor prayerfully, before they spoke, especially if it was warning or instruction.
Many times I saw my leader receive words of destruction, judgment, even death for some persons, and he would go before YAH in fasting and prayer for mercy and grace to be shown toward the city, the country or the individual.
I can recall sitting at his feet and learning the dynamics of walking prophetically and the lifestyle that must be maintained in order to stay in a place of holiness and obedience to YAH!
He taught me to maintain a lifestyle of fasting and praying, so that my flesh would stay under subjection.
I miss those days when the whole congregation would be shut in and lay before the LORD ,seeking Him for answers.
Nowadays, you call a cooperate fast and people quit the ministry calling you a cult!
I learned so much discipline and the ways of holiness, by just sitting in those shut ins, listening to the older generations pour our wisdom into our hungry souls.
When they prophesied you knew it was real, because not only were they accurate, but their lifestyles were demonstrated before us.
We saw them sold out, walking in holiness, sacrificing, so we could learn, grow and make it.
Sitting under a prophet I saw his words continually come to pass and was amazing.
Watching him only speak what YAH allowed, never speaking out his flesh or for popularity, but always obeying YAH.
I’ve seen him cancel months of engagements and be shut in the Church, because YAH told him death or destruction was coming.
I saw him keep order when it came to prophesy and he would stop persons who were in their flesh, if they tried to release a word.
We were willing to learn and the one thing He definitely taught me, was structure, discipline, obedience and to never take a bribe or be provoked to speak, if YAH has not given me permission to!
Prophets always maintain integrity, honor and character as a prophetic voice.
Being accurate doesn’t mean you’re pure or speaking from the Spirit of YAH.
Your lifestyle should line up. your mouth should be clean. and you should live a holy and righteous life.
If you don’t remember nothing else from this post, remember this: being a prophet goes beyond just being able to prophesy!
Teacher, Bible Scholar and Administrator are also part of the mantle!
