The Judas Spirit
The Judas Spirit Is Not Just a Betrayer of Christ but Oneself!!
“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?” 1 Corinthians 6:19.
People, what God intends on being a blessing can turn out to be a curse if the people allow things to come into their lives that are not of God!
I thought about Judas Iscariot, who was one of Christ’s chosen disciples and who had the opportunity to walk with Christ and to talk with Him and to bring about change in the lives of the nation, but because his heart was not truly with Christ he choose the money bag over the Savior of the World!
The enemy, whom I don’t get glory in praising, has so much to offer in this world for those who are weak, gullible and still have one foot in the door of the church and the other foot still in the world!
The enemies of Christ knew and found out what Judas’ weakness was and they took that and used it against him in order to get to Christ, but Judas being weak, couldn’t rightfully discern what was taking place and because he still had the heart of the world he took the bait and went along with their schemes!
You see,
“the chief priests and scribes sought how they might kill Jesus; for they feared the people. But, after Judas agreed to their schemes something unusual happened to him; Satan entered into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve. And he went his way, and communed with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray Jesus unto them. And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money, (Luke 22:2-5 KJV)
So you see, evil spirits just don’t enter the temple of God unless we as the people of God make a covenant with hell!
You have to come into a legally binding agreement with hell in order for demonic spirits to take possession of your body, as Judas did, when he made a decision he would betray the Son of God!
I am sure God gave him every opportunity to repent and to rethink his decisions but instead he wanted the money bag so bad, he was willing to do anything to get it even to steal, kill, lie and murder the Son of God to get it! Blinded by greed and covetousness he made a decision that was no going back from.
After, much prayer and fasting Jesus knew that something horrible was getting ready to take place that would change the lives that surrounded him forever.
This is why He warned them to pray.
“And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. And while he yet spake, behold a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss him.
But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss? (Already, Jesus identify him as an enemy and a betrayer) When they which were about him saw what would follow, they said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?” Luke 22:46-49 KJV.
“However; when the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death: and when they had bound him, they led him away, and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor.
Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, (guilt, and ashamed which is different from conviction) repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood…..”
If you notice Judas repented to the wrong person; instead of him repenting to Christ he went back to the people who had tricked him and deceived him into committing the ultimate sin!
Isn’t it funny how when we sin instead of us taking it to God in prayer we tell everybody except God the one who can destroy both body and soul into hell!
I believe Judas wasn’t sorry (Godly sorrowfulness brings about true repentance) but he wanted justification and forgiveness for being caught and exposed like a lot of people when they are discovered and found out!
“And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that. And, when Judas found no comfort he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself……”
The LORD said to me that this is why so many commit suicide, because the enemy has blinded them in becoming a betrayer to themselves (notice a spirit of self mutilation is of the enemy) and instead of them seeking God for comfort, they would rather mutilate themselves by bringing bodily harm to their own self!
This is the trick of the enemy! The enemies job was to take Judas down a road of no return. Into a place of despair, hopelessness, depression, shame and condemnation!
No doubt these demonic voices was telling him to just kill yourself and end it because He had messed up big time and no one was about to forgive him of his betrayal!
So, instead of going to the offended party, Christ Jesus, he went and repented to the devil’s little Elmos!
“And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood. And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter’s field, to bury strangers in. Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that. And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself. Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day,” Matthew 27:1-8 KJV.
The enemy is an ancient trickster who has been around a long time and his job is to distract individuals and to magnify their problems as being larger than what they truly are.
He will do all he can to take you down a road that looks like their is no way out and that God doesn’t care about you and no one cares about you so why not end it all.
But I bind and break the curse of suicide and hopelessness. Jesus is the way, the truth and the light, and it does not matter what you have done, God is willing to forgive you if you come to the foot of the cross seeking His forgiveness!
Sometimes like Judas, we take our cares and cast them on people, but people didn’t hang high and die for you. The Blood of Jesus can bring hope, peace and joy to every dark situation if you allow Him!
Hug someone today and let them know that their is (nothing and I do mean nothing) too hard for our God!
You are unique and you are important even if your sins say differently!

I disagree with you that Judas betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver. Judas was had plenty of chances to steal money from Jesus at any time he walked with Jesus. He betrayed Jesus for money? Not so. Judas betrayed Jesus because, Judas thought Jesus would deliver them from the romans. When Jesus declared he would be sacrificed instead of being the Messiah of deliverance for the Jews. Judas believe that the messiah would destroy the romans and bring the Jews into power over Israel. Judas betrayed Jesus because he came to be sacrificed, not to destroy Rome.
