The Indomitable Spirit!
Cultivate an indomitable Spirit of thanksgiving, possess an attitude of gratitude; count your blessings and be thankful of even the little things in your life. If God has ever blessed you, He will do it again, but this time more gloriously. Declare; ‘Thank you LORD for blessing me’. Many people live their lives as if everything around them is going wrong; it seems like they never have enough and nothing good is happening in their lives. However, the truth is, there is a lot of good
This kind of life paints a picture of gloom and doom. It degenerates into bitterness and endless complaints whose stress levels lead to debilitating diseases that would have been avoided from the very beginning. Today make a choice, one of the greatest choice you can ever make; it is the choice to rejoice . Cultivate this attitude of thanksgiving in everything however, small it may be. “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18). You need the Spirit of thanksgiving in everything. The scripture doesn’t say for everything, but in everything. So, no matter what you are facing, find something to thank God for. In everything, however bad it is, thank God for the assured victory. We do not thank God for bad things, but we thank Him inspite of the bad experiences for the victory that is assured. Thanksgiving magnifies the Lord’s goodness in your life. “I will praise the name of God with a song, And will magnify Him with thanksgiving” (Psalms 69:30). Thanksgiving magnifies the Lord and definitely reduces every challenge to its smallest level it deserves.happening in their lives but they have chosen to focus on the bad and challenges.
Do not develop a habit of complaining; he who complains is in essence saying that God cannot and will not help him. Complaining magnifies the problem and denies the power of God at work in and for, you. It attracts more problems and saps strength. God hates complaints and most times complaining makes the problem to persist. This happened to the Israelites after they complained against God; “How long shall I bear with this evil congregation who complain against Me? I have heard the complaints which the children of Israel make against Me. Say to them, ‘As I live,’ says the LORD, ‘just as you have spoken in My hearing, so I will do to you” (Numbers 14:27-28). Complaining is evil to God, and it wears out the listeners and it complainant together. However, thanksgiving produces joy which releases inner strength to weather any challenge and experience victory gladly. “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full” (John 15:11). Jesus wants our joy to be full, this is possible because His joy remains in us; it is a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:16). You have this joy in your born-again spirit resident in you.
Activate that joy! You rejoice; you begin this process by choosing to express joy. “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!” (Philippians 4:4) This is a double emphasis, ‘rejoice always, again I say rejoice’. “Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength” (Nehemiah 8:10). Refuse to be sorrowful and to complain, regardless of the delays or unfairness you might be facing; choose to rejoice. Today be thankful, rejoice in the Lord. Express this joy through laughter, singing and dancing. No matter how discouraging the news you have received, no matter how bad you feel, it doesn’t matter what you see, think or imagine; rejoice in the Lord. You might have to do it when you don’t feel like doing it, but as you do it, your feelings will follow and your circumstances will change. With such a Spirit, nothing can put you down and God’s power manifests in your life easily in amazing ways . I declare joy in your life; thank you Jesus for my friend. Thank you Jesus thank you Lord. Hallelujah, Glory to God. Joy! Joy! Joy! The joy of the LORD!
