I’ve wondered many times about the mystery of worship — why it is important, and how it works!

Yes, our God is Great and deserves our worship, but there is so much more to it than that.

Our God doesn’t need us to tell Him Who He Is! He doesn’t need our pat on the back to reassure Him, or tell Him “Good job;” no!

He knows Who He is! He IS the creator of all things, the First and Foremost, the Beginning and the End. He Is Humility. One needs only to look at the reality of The Cross to see that!

When our King, our God created us, He put power in our mouths, in our words. He did, after all, make us in His image.

He tells us in His Word to “declare a thing” and it will be established. Wow!

“You will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways.” Job 22:28

Likewise, unwise words can have negative effects on our lives:

“My Lips will not speak wickedness, Nor my tongue utter deceit.” Job 27:4

When we Worship, we align our words with His Words. We come into agreement with His Will, His Way, His Time.

We release a sound with our voices that carries the power He Himself put into our words, our mouths, and we join ourselves to Him in alignment with His Word and in unity with Him and His Will, and with all of Heaven, His uncorrupted Kingdom.

Our sound joins His Sound, His Will and Purposes, and we join into the Immeasurable Power of God! This, in turn, releases His power into the earth. In other words, we are in complete agreement with Him and with each other.

If you’ve ever wondered how we can have unity in the Body, I believe this is a giant first step. Agreement is a powerful thing! Gathering in His Name is an agreement.

“For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” Matthew 18:20

When The LORD tells us that worship is warfare, it is because we join ourselves — unite ourselves to Him, to the God of all Power, Glory and Perfection, causing Him to release Himself into the atmosphere in ways we haven’t quite grasped yet.

This, in turn joins us to each other, together with the Unity of the Godhead (which is Perfect Unity), and in the unity of loving Him with our lives, with our mouths, and with our hearts.

This is also why corporate worship is important. More voices, more mouths in agreement, united to Him in His Love; His Unity released, His power, His will.

He Himself is released into the earth. His Love, which is the foundation of Who He Is, is released into our lives and into the world.

“But You are holy, Enthroned in the praises of Israel.” Psalm 22:3

“God has gone up with a shout, The LORD with the sound of the trumpet.” Psalm 47:5

Worship carries us into Heaven itself where we join all of Heaven, those gone before us and all the wonder of Heavenly creation, in perfect unity with the King of Glory.

Even, if we are struggling with the darkness of this world, imperfection in our lives, worship joins us to Perfection Himself!

The time is now! We are living in a historic time in God’s timeline! It’s time to release ourselves to King Jesus, and watch, in wonder, what He does!

“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:1-2

May you be joined to the God of all Perfection this day!
