~ YES!! The Holy Spirit Will Show You The Truth and Show You Things To Come~

“But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the Truth-giving Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full Truth). For He will not speak His own message [on His own authority]; but He will tell whatever He hears [from the Father; He will give the message that has been given to Him], and He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future]” John 16:13 (AMP).

When I found this scripture almost 30 years ago, I so rejoiced because I finally realized what I had been seeing and dreaming for years but did not know that I had the one that will speak the truth living in me. He will show you things to come! Oh glory! So many go without ever realizing that they are hearing from God through the Holy Spirit. Have you been lied to? Have you been told or had the impression that the only ones that hear from God is the hierarchy in your denomination? Well Jesus said differently. He said that when the Holy Spirit comes upon you that He will show you things to come. He will show you the future! You see we should all be hearing from God! He has placed His Holy Spirit in us so that we can know what is before us.

When I was younger I had a dream that a tornado hit my house but did not destroy it and sure enough it happened just like that. God gives us warnings because He knows the future! He can warn you of things to come. He gave us His Spirit so that we could be safe as we are living our life for Him. We are his ambassadors and He does not send us out unequipped! If Satan has a plan to destroy us then God will warn us. Why? So that we can speak into that and stop the enemy in His tracks.

The way that He begins to show us things to come is always in different ways depending on how that He can get it across to us. If it is a dream then He speaks to us that way. If it is through His word then he will impress scriptures upon your heart. If it is an impression then He will speak that way. He speaks to us all the time we just have to be aware and open to Him. We must trust the Holy Spirit that is in us. You see we should be a prophetic people. I was telling someone tonight that Prophecy is simply us hearing those things to come from His heart as we listen to Him through our intimacy with Him and then simply resounding what He said with whatever means, gifts and talents that He has given us!

This is the way that Jesus operated in the earth, to give us an example of how to flow with Holy Spirit. He said that He only did what He saw the Father do and He only spoke what he heard Him saying. The Bible says that the the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy and His testimony was that He only did what He saw the Father doing and said what He heard the Father saying. You see that is exactly why He gave us the Holy Spirit! He gave Him so that we would be shown things to come and then He would have a vessel to resound it in the earth! This is what prophecy is for! I don’t know about you but to me that is one of the most exciting things about God. He shares His secrets with little ole’ me! Hallelujah!

“I write this to you with reference to those who would deceive you [seduce and lead you astray]. But as for you, the anointing (the sacred appointment, the unction) which you received from Him abides [permanently] in you; [so] then you have no need that anyone should instruct you. But just as His anointing teaches you concerning everything and is true and is no falsehood, so you must abide in (live in, never depart from) Him [being rooted in Him, knit to Him], just as [His anointing] has taught you [to do]” 1 John 2:26-27 (AMP).

If you have never received the Holy Spirit then you are missing out on all of the things that he has to show you in the future! Just ask Him to come and baptize you with the Holy spirit He says in Luke 11 that He will give Him to you if you just ask and receive him by faith! How awesome is God?
