The Holy Spirit Broods Over His Bride!
I had a vision of the Holy Spirit “brooding” over His Bride, closely watching over His sons and daughters and covering them with His Wings to protect, guard, warm and cherish.
“Beloved. I have given you the Holy Spirit as a gift. Do you know Him, Dear One? I am Emmanuel, God with you.
Be still and listen for My Voice. Be still and sense the Presence of My Spirit. His Presence is My Presence, My Child. Be still and know that I am God. I have sent the Comforter to you; To cover you, protect you, warm you and cherish you forever.
My Comforter dwells in you, yes, but always remember that the Holy Spirit is the Third Person in the Godhead and not just a power. In the stillness, come near, Beloved.
Hear My Heart for you. It is by the Spirit that you shall hear My Voice. It is by My Spirit that you shall know Me.
I AM brooding over you, waiting for you, listening for your beautiful voice to call to Me. I will not let one of you get away from Me. Under My Wings you shall trust.
I AM not far away, Beloved, but very close. Be still, My Child and rest from your works, and listen. I will speak comforting words to you Face to face.
My Glory shall fill your atmosphere. In My Presence is fullness of Joy and at My Right Hand pleasures forevermore.
O My Dove, that are in the clefts of the Rock, in the secret places of the stairs, let Me see your countenance, let me hear your voice; for sweet is your voice, and your face is lovely.”
BROODING: To hover, to warm, protect, or cover with the wings or body; To mature any thing with care. To fill the atmosphere or scene. To spread over. To sit over, cover and cherish. KJV Dictionary
The root word for brooding in Hebrew is “rachaf”, and conveys the sense of “shaking,” “moving,” or “fluttering,” as when a bird softly relaxes its flight to alight upon its young. It adequately describes the actions of the Ruach (Spirit) as He lovingly and closely watches over His Children.
“Now the earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering (brooding) over the surface of the waters,” Genesis 1:2.
“He will cover you with His feathers; under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and rampart,” Psalm 91:4.
“Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that kills the prophets, and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, like a hen gathers her own brood under her wings, and you refused!” Luke 13:34.
“But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, He shall testify of Me,” John 15:26.
“He says, “Be still, and know that I am God,” Psalm 46:10.
“O my dove, in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the cliff, let me see your face, let me hear your voice; for your voice is sweet, and your face is lovely,” Song of Solomon 2:14
