The Hardest Decision YOU Will Ever Make!
The hardest decision you will ever make In this world of today [a world in which almost everything goes by and is approved by the modern “Church” or “Church leader”…]
The hardest decision you will ever have to make is:
“To choose to walk away from the world and live a holy life!’
Compromise is the order of the day. Today excuses are made on many subjects, many choose to walk a way, which is clearly…. Part Way….
If a man or woman [professing to believe in and be a disciple of Jesus Christ] chooses any way to walk, other than the way Jesus Christ himself walked…. they [according to the very words of Jesus Christ Himself]: Cannot be His disciple!
I am reminded almost every day of the difficulty of life walking in the steps of Jesus Christ.
Jesus came into this world and lived among men, and was able to say: which of you can convince Me or find in me a sin?
Jesus walked all the way to Calvary and died alone rather than to live In sin.
He lived his life for others not himself.
Jesus Christ did teach that men must forsake all the world to be his disciple.
He said: “Foxes have holes and birds have nest, but, the Son of God has no where to lay his head.”
He choose to: Walk in a holy life before all.
Jesus did not live with one foot in heaven and one foot in the world.
He did not even think that bad fruit and good fruit could come from the same tree. Or that… good water and bad water could come from the same fountain.
Jesus said, “Love not the world, or the things in the world. If any man loves the
World the love of the father does not live in him.”
It is either choose the LORD and His Holy life… or choose the world!
I say again: The most difficult choice one will ever make is to walk in the Footsteps of Jesus Christ….
Holiness….
Where are you walking today? In whom do you walk…?
The world and its ways… or in the ways of a Holy Jesus?
Scripture:
Discipleship Tested
“Now large crowds were going along with Jesus; and He turned and said to them, “If anyone comes to me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life [in the sense of indifference to or relative disregard for them in comparison with his attitude toward God] — he cannot be My disciple.
Whoever does not carry his own cross [expressing a willingness to endure whatever may come] and follow after Me [believing in me, conforming to my example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in me] cannot be My disciple.
For which one of you, when he wants to build a watchtower [for his guards], does not first sit down and calculate the cost, to see if he has enough to finish it?
Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is unable to finish [the building], all who see it will begin to ridicule him, saying, “This man began to build and was not able to finish!‟
Or what king, when he sets out to meet another king in battle, will not first sit down and consider whether he Is strong enough with ten thousand men to encounter the one who is coming against him with twenty thousand?
Or else [if he feels he is not powerful enough], while the other [king] is still a far distance away, he sends an envoy and asks for terms of peace.
So then, none of you can be my disciple who does not [carefully consider the cost and then for my sake] give up all his own possessions.
Therefore, salt is good; but if salt has become tasteless, with what will it be seasoned? It is fit neither for the soil nor for the manure pile; it is thrown away.
He who has ears to hear, let him hear and heed My Words,” Luke 14:25-35.
