There are amazing stories in the bible which actually happened in the natural.

In the book of Acts there are two different incidents when God opened the prison doors to release His people. In the book of Acts chapter five, there were many signs and wonders performed through the hands of the apostles.

The sick were healed, demons were cast out and people even received healing through Peter’s shadow. There was a great revival and multitudes accepted the LORD. The high priest and religious leaders put the apostles in prison but the angel of the LORD went to them and released them saying: “Go, stand in the temple courts, “and tell the people all about this new life.”

In the book of Acts chapter sixteen, Paul and Silas cast a demon out of a lady who was a fortune teller. She was following them and continually mocking them when Paul finally turned around and called the demonic spirit out in the name of Jesus.

Her masters were angry and called the magistrates because she was delivered and they would now lose their income. They beat them with rods, shackled them and put them in prison.

At midnight as Paul and Silas were praying and worshiping there was a great earthquake, and their shackles were loosed. The jail keeper fell down before them trembling and asked “What must I do to be saved? They replied, “Believe on the LORD Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

The next day the keeper of the prison said to Paul, “The magistrates have said to let you go: now therefore depart, and go in peace”.

We serve a supernatural God who is still releasing people today. You may not be in an actual prison but some of you are imprisoned in your situations. There are things that are holding you captive and you do not know how to break out of them. You may be imprisoned in sickness, financial issues, family situations, or your mind may be imprisoned in fear, and you feel that there is no way of escape.

The LORD wants to release you now.

The LORD says, “I have come to release you from your prison.

says the LORD.

“Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed,” John 8:36.

“They laid their hands on the apostles and put them in the common prison. But at night an angel of the LORD opened the prison doors and brought them out, and said, ‘Go, stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this life,'” Acts 5:18-20.

“And when they had laid many stripes on them, they threw them into prison, commanding the jailer to keep them securely. Having received such a charge, he put them into the inner prison and fastened their feet in the stocks. But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed,” Acts 16:23-26.
