The Gospel Without Charge….
The gospel is NOT a message, but a PERSON — JESUS CHRIST!
My assignment and duty is to MAKE JESUS KNOWN WITHOUT CHARGE at all cost convenient or not!
“What then is my reward? That when I preach the Good News, I may present the Good News of Christ WITHOUT CHARGE, so as not to abuse my authority in the Good News,” 1 Corinthians 9:18.
My greatest joy and reward is when I see lives changed through the preaching and teaching of the Word and I am committed to this task!
I know we live in a world of commerce where people have commercialised everything even the gospel and painfully, the HOLY COMMUNION!
Pastors now bargain how much they should be paid and raise the fee higher than can be afforded!
Some even go to the point of bargaining the percentage of sharing of loot from the people in any meeting…
This makes many wonder if there are still selfless servants whose motivation is to PREACH JESUS!
Yes, there still are, but majority of what we have today are PEDDLERS of the GOSPEL.
“For we are not as so MANY peddling the word of God. But as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God, we speak in Christ,” 2 Corinthians 2:17.
Even in the days of the First Century apostles, PEDDLERS of THE GOSPEL were MANY..they seek occasion to shear the sheep and the lambs of whom Jesus told Peter three times on one occasion “FEED MY SHEEP and LAMBS!”
Have you observed the INNOCENCE of sheep’s and Lambs? They are just LOVABLE….
I wonder how one would just wanna HURT them… Our love for Jesus should reflect on our love for His SHEEP and LAMBS!
The greatest privilege for me is when I am asked to be a blessing to God’s Church through God’s gift given to me, for the BUILDING of His Body — The CHURCH!
