The Gospel Has Become Too Aesthetic!
Last night as lay on my bed I perceived The Hold Spirit begin to speak to me and I heard, “The Gospel has become too aesthetic!”
He said, “You’re making it about yourselves, and not bringing The Message of Christ and Salvation!”
Then He warned, “Be careful of pride in this hour. It is very subtle, causing you to bring attention to yourselves and not pointing people to God!”
“And He said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.” Luke 9:23.
“But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious Gospel of Christ, Who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” 2 Corinthians 4:3-4.
The culture in this modern day “Ministry” is that people are promoting themselves and Christ is a mere backdrop.
That which is required to call people to repentance and to the KNOWLEDGE of Christ is substituted with eloquent speeches, charisma, fake and dramatized signs and wonders, marketing strategies to bring a large crowd haul and overall “me, myself and I”!
Another thing I believe is of utmost importance in this hour, and it’s that we should never gauge our usefulness in the sight of God, or exaggerate our own importance by the number of followers, likes and shares on social media platforms, meeting and conference attendances, miracle manifestations so much to the point we believe we cannot be replaced.
Familiarity — even with God — is a dangerous thing!
“But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.” Psalm 115:3.
“But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.” Psalm 75:7.
“The Lord kills and makes alive,” 1 Samuel 2:6-7.
Let every man including myself examine himself.
Let us Repent!
Shalom
