The Good News is…………..
It’s amazing how many people who desire a change are not ready for one! When it comes to the children of God, it is not uncommon to find many who disqualify themselves from receiving God’s best. Due to many misconceptions of our Father God, especially when we wrongly compare Him to our earthly fathers; some believers attribute everything, good or bad to God. Our Father who art in heaven loves us so much so that He cannot be involved in ‘child abuse’; His joy is our wellbeing and He takes pleasure in our prosperity, health and progress.
The bible teaches; “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning” James 1:17. The message of the Kingdom we belong to, is the gospel; the good news! “Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people” Matthew 9:35. However, the worldly system elevates and magnifies bad news at the expense of good news. So, many of God’s children are inclined to negative news that has saturated all facets of the secular world. This has impacted negatively on their ability to receive good news and later on, to expect good things from God. Many are easily motivated by the fear of failure and shame, than the joy of success and glory. This ought not to be, good news, is the language of the supernatural kingdom of our God in which we are citizens. Good news inspires faith which is our lifestyle as children of God. “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, ‘The just shall live by faith'” Romans 1:16-17. Good news (gospel) is the power of God to salvation; it releases the power for your healing, deliverance, peace and joy. In the good news, our relationship with God is revealed from faith to faith, hallelujah. Faith is our lifestyle and this is released and increases in measure as we hear good news. Bad news instills fear, condemnation and can lead to damnation; there is no encouragement there.
Jesus preached the good news of the Kingdom and then healing of every sickness and disease among the people followed. You might have been in an unwanted predicament for long; you have been afraid of the worst and lived all your life foreboding, don’t you worry, the good news is salvation has come to you today. Many take good news to be too good to be true, but this is the truth of God’s word. The gospel began with Jesus’ birth, was established in His ministry and continues to be preached after His ascension. The proclamations of His birth was good news to a virgin girl who wondered why she merited this, however, she believed it and it worked. “Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her” Luke 1:38. Mary believed the news and a miracle was wrought by the Holy Spirit in her womb. Friend, it is time that you respond like Mary to the good news of God’s word; believe it and say ‘be it unto me according to God’s word’. Don’t analyze, critic and refuse the good news because you are so inclined to the bad news. Believing the good news, will actualize it in your life. “Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were told her from the Lord” Luke 1:45. The power of the performance of the good you need is in your believing the good news told to you. Those who believe are blessed, even Jesus said it. “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed” John 20:29. Believe the good news and you will live in the goodness of God as a blessed man.
Do not be like Thomas; as much as Jesus had made clear time and again that He will rise from the dead, Thomas chose not to believe. He disbelieved willfully! “Now Thomas, called the Twin, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. The other disciples therefore said to him, “We have seen the Lord.” So he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe” John 20:24-25. We refer to him as ‘doubting Thomas’, but he was more than a doubter since he wasn’t double minded; he was unbelieving and he chose it. He said; ‘I will not believe’; his will was involved. This is not how we should respond to the good news; believing God’s word as the absolute truth and acting accordingly should be our default response. Believing is accepting, embracing and responding positively to what we have heard; it is more than agreement or consent, it is not a function of the mind but the heart. “For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” Romans 10:10. When you believe from your heart, your mouth automatically confesses rightly and your mind begins to expect good. Be encouraged to know that you have a loving Father who never fails; He loves so much and wants the best for you. Connect to this divine providence, by believing the good news thereby releasing the power for the manifestation of His goodness in your life. This is the good news of the Kingdom.

Thank you for that on time message. Sometime I can get side tracted when I am not in the word as I should be, I don’t have to say what happens……
