The God of Breakthrough
The Holy Spirit gave me an analogy of people boxing the wind. They were fighting against something that appeared to be fierce, yet it was unfamiliar to them and invisible to the natural eye. He brought me to a scripture in First Corinthians 9:26 where the apostle Paul said that he did not run with uncertainty as someone who is beating the air.
Every one of us is crying out to the Lord for a breakthrough in one area or another. We are asking Jesus “The God of breakthrough” for strength to endure hardships. Some of us are asking for our families to be set free and come to know Him, for our finances to be replenished, for our health to be restored or for peace and transformation in our nation. Sometimes the battle is inevitable but the victory is assured through Jesus.
The Lord says;
“Trust Me through difficult times no matter what you are facing in the natural. Don’t ever lose hope and refuse to be defeated. I AM the God of the breakthrough and I am the one who liberates and sets you free from all chaos in your life. When faced with a fiery trial, allow it to catapult you into your destiny rather than set you back in despair. As the enemy throws stumbling blocks in your path, use them as stepping stones to go to another level.
Aim for the bull’s-eye when you are stretched, just as an arrow is pulled back and aimed for the center of the target. As you draw closer to Me, you will become stronger when you are put under pressure. You will no longer listen to the voices of doubt and fear but, you will recognize My voice and be led by peace. Don’t allow rebellion to take hold of you, or you will lose the liberty that is available to you. As you let go of all bitterness and resentment, peace will return back into your life.
Allow Me to break through in every area that is oppressing you and break through the walls and the barriers that are imprisoning you. Allow Me to break the chains that are holding you in bondage so that you will be released from anything that is holding you back from a life of freedom. Trust Me to supply all your needs.
Trust Me as your healer and your deliver, and as you do, I will release breakthrough to every situation and circumstance that is weighing you down. Do not think that what is happening around you is strange, but rejoice knowing that you have a promise to be fulfilled.
Keep your eyes on Me and not on the storms in your life. Allow Me to be the Lord of the breakthrough as ‘Baal Perazim’ in every situation. Allow Me to release you from anything that is deterring you from moving forward. The battle may be unrelenting, but the victory is assured. When you look back in hindsight you will surely say that it was worth it all,”
says the Lord.
“So David went to Baal Perazim, and David defeated them there; and he said, “The Lord has broken through my enemies before me, like a breakthrough of water.” Therefore he called the name of that place Baal Perazim. (Lord of breaking through),” 2 Samuel 5:20.
“But He knows the way that I take; When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold. My foot has held fast to His steps; I have kept His way and not turned aside. I have not departed from the commandment of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth More than my necessary food,” Job 23:10-12.
“Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy,” 1 Peter 4:12-13.

Thank you so much for that encouraging word. I am one of those who have been waiting for breakthroughs in some very difficult times. I need the Lord as Baal Perazim to bring His promise of restoration. This week I have heard Him whisper to me: “I need you to know that I will not let you go. Just let me in. Please let me in to be the breakthrough you need.” We need to cast ourselves completely into His care trusting Him to be all He has promised.
