The Glory for Suffering
Today I heard The LORD say: “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” (Romans 8:16-18 KJV)
I am looking at this Word and wondering — is there a mandated suffering we experience — then we come into the Glory of God?
Suffering is a curse word to Christians. Many believe children of God should not experience pain, grief, or worry.
Should we forget sin was already present in the world before our arrival?
The solution for sin is salvation.
Eternal Life is the debt free existence from sin.
Salvation comes through the will of God the Father, the sacrifice of Jesus the Son, and the empowerment of The Holy Spirit.
Sin’s guarantee of dissolution is through Christ love. Salvation/Eternal Life is our escape from sin.
Sin has no power over truth and God’s love. No matter how a man becomes entangled in a snare/sin – The LORD has prepared an escape mechanism.
“Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.” Romans 13:8 KJV.
“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13 KJV.
In Acts 12, we see Peter entangled in a snare by a mean, egotistic, government official, Herod.
This king devised a plan he believed no one could penetrate. King Herod chained Peter to sixteen soldiers making his escape seem impossible.
All the while of Peter’s imprisonment — the Church was praying for his release. Peter felt the calm and peace of God over him so he went to sleep.
Although Peter suffered at the hands of his captors, his Faith did not waver.
The Apostle Peter entered into God’s rest. The prayers of the Saints availed and prayers brought about his release.
“Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but The LORD delivereth him out of them all.” Psalm 34:19 KJV.
“The LORD is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.” Proverbs 15:29 KJV.
“Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” James 5:16 KJV.
The news media has shown us the devastation of storms, tornadoes, and hurricanes in the United States.
Many are experiencing hardships and sufferings during the wars in Ukraine, Israel, Lebanon, Gaza, and other affected areas.
Yes, we see suffering on a large scale.
However, others experience suffering on a regular basis.
Starvation, sickness, financial woes, relationship disorders, corruption in government, elderly abuse, homelessness, and mental illness, are a few sufferings that occur every day.
The LORD encourages us through His Word that if we suffer with Him — we shall also reign with Him. The world says, “No pain no gain”, and this statement is accepted by many.
God’s Word tells us we receive victory and rewards through suffering.
The greatest victory was Jesus sacrifice for our sins.
He died a sinless death on a wooden cross. Death and suffering was Jesus choice. No one forced the Son of God to suffer for our sins. He did it because of love.
I encourage each person today going through a storm, never cease in your prayers.
Ask other people to pray on your behalf.
I believe The LORD is calling many of His people to the next level in prayer.
What is The LORD calling you to do?

Thank You LORD, for getting us through the suffering of this present time.
Thank You LORD, for the Glory that shall be revealed in us.
“The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” Romans 8:16-18 KJV.
“Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church. And he killed James the brother of John with the sword. And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.) And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people. Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him. And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison. And, behold, the angel of The LORD came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands. And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me. And he went out, and followed him; and wist not that it was true which was done by the angel; but thought he saw a vision. When they were past the first and the second ward, they came unto the iron gate that leadeth unto the city; which opened to them of his own accord: and they went out, and passed on through one street; and forthwith the angel departed from him. And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety, that The LORD hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews. And when he had considered the thing, he came to the house of Mary the mother of John, whose surname was Mark; where many were gathered together praying.” Acts 12:1-12 KJV.
Peace Out,
