The Gates of Righteousness: The Gate of The Lord
It will be said on that day, “Behold, this is our God; we have waited for Him, that He might save us. This is the LORD; we have waited for Him; let us be glad and rejoice in His salvation.” 1
In that day, this song will be sung in the land of Judah: “We have a strong city; He sets up salvation as walls and bulwarks. 2
Open the gates, that the righteous nation that keeps faith may enter in, O LORD. 3
You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. 4
Open to me the gates of righteousness, that I may enter through them and give thanks to the LORD. 5
This is the gate of the LORD; the righteous shall enter through it. 6
Who shall ascend the hill of the LORD? And who shall stand in His holy place? 7
He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully. 8
He will receive blessing from the LORD and righteousness from the God of his salvation. 9
Such is the generation of those who seek Him, who seek the face of the God of Jacob. Selah. 10
Lift up your heads, O gates! And be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. 11
Jesus says, “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way, that man is a thief and a robber. 12
But He who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 13
“I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.” 14
I am the good shepherd. I know My own and My own know Me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. 15
Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. 16
For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but the LORD will arise upon you, and His glory will be seen upon you. 17
And nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising. 18
By its light will the nations walk, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it, and its gates will never be shut by day — and there will be no night there. 19
They will bring into it, the glory and the honour of the nations. 20
But nothing unclean will ever enter it, nor anyone who does what is detestable or false, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s book of life. 21
Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates. 22
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. 23
Jesus says, “I am coming soon. Hold fast what you have, so that no one may seize your crown.” 24
To the only God, our Saviour, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. 25
Amen and Amen!
