The Favored Ones

The Vultures are Circling!
I had a dream last night in which my family and I were sleeping in a store (the lady who owned the store caught us but didn’t turn us in, but gave us money and other possessions, but this other sales lady said to call the police) like we were poor and homeless, while we accepted handouts from others.
But when we went home, I saw this same person living in a mansion as though they needed no help.
When the lady at the store who had helped us, saw us and that we had a new truck and everything, she couldn’t believe we were poor. She felt taken advantage of!
Thessalonians 3:10 also reminds us, “If a man will not work, he shall not eat.”
There are people who want to live an irresponsible lifestyle with absolutely no accountability. So there must be limits.
We will help someone with a need, but if we see that it’s become a chronic life pattern, it’s wrong for us to continue to encourage that!
Some folks claiming to need help, are no more than vultures!
What is a vulture? A vulture is a scavenging bird of prey.
No, the church should not become an enabler to those who have no real love of God in their hearts, but are no more than a vulture in the spirit!
I believe that God is saying that the people should help those in need, but we as a people, must discern when the vultures are circling and only come to eat and to devour that which is good — especially the people of God’s harvest!
Their is an old saying, “Give a man a fish and he eats for a day, teach him to fish and he eats for a lifetime.” It is very true, and something we should all take to heart!
As long as we see that someone is sincerely making an effort, we should be there to support them in whatever way God leads.
Discernment is imperative.
The Favored Ones
God has “Favored ones”whom He has chosen and whom He will speak to, and through, in this hour!
Favor is the approval, support, or liking for someone or something.
“And coming to Mary, the angel said, “Greetings, favored one! The LORD is with you.””
There comes a time when we as a people of God, can begin to transcend to a new level (heights) in God!
I believe that this time has come for many of those whom God is going to favor — all because you have obeyed God and trust that He will do the impossible, due to your faith in Him!
As I began to ponder on the “favorite ones” I began to think about Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Sarah and even Saul (Paul) and many many more who like Saul, God had to blind, just to get his attention.
I realized that God has called many to walk in favor with Him, because of their obedience and faith in him!
All because He saw something in them that nobody else could see, and He chose to use them for that hour or even that particular season.
But Mary was greatly perplexed at what the angel said, and kept carefully considering what kind of greeting this was — just as you will be when God gives a revelation to you.
You will notice how you are puzzled and even baffled by it, because it comes from an open heaven and it is not from the soulish realm of the human intellect that is speaking to you, but God’s spirit!
“The angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.
He said to her listen carefully: you will conceive in your womb and give birth to a son, and you shall name Him Jesus.”
You see, here in this particular passage the angel comes with a special message for Mary, knowing full well that Mary would be troubled by his presence (what she saw in the spirit or physically) he warns her not to fear what she is seeing!
I believe that when God gets ready to birth miracles, He uses a chosen vessel to accomplish this, just as he did Mary!
And, when He does this, He will give a set of instructions by God’s angels!
I don’t believe that Gabriel or any other angel sent by God will come just so you can see him to brag you saw an angel, but when he comes, he is coming to impart (on assignment), divine instructions from God himself, something He wants you to know!
“The angel said to Mary this child you birth will be great and eminent and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the LORD God will give Him the throne of His father David; and He will reign over the house of Jacob (Israel) forever, and of His kingdom there shall be no end.”
The angel not only informed her to listen, but he told her the future of what to expect when she got ready to give birth to this prophetic child — unlike many who claim that God has given them a message, they fail to receive instructions from the messenger – if it was God at all! God does things decently and in order!
“Mary said to the angel, “How will this be, since I am a virgin and have no intimacy with any man?””
Mary asked the angel questions because she didn’t fear him, because he had already cleared up her fears regarding who he was, what he wanted and Who sent him!
Scripture warns us that If any angel, other than of God comes, and they cannot verify God sent them, and you feel a spirit of fear — Do not receive them!
“For, ye know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: and every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world,” (1 John 4: 2-3)
Angels do many things.
- They are assigned to be ministering angels, angels who warn, protect, death angels: angels that praise God (Psalm 148:1-2; Isaiah 6:3).
- They worship God, but are not to be worshiped (Hebrews 1:6; Revelation 5:8-13).
- They rejoice in what God does (Job 38:6-7).
- They serve God (Psalm 103:20; Revelation 22:9).
- They appear before God (Job 1:6; 2:1).
- They are instruments of God’s judgments (Revelation 7:1; 8:2).
- They bring answers to prayer (Acts 12:5-10).
- They aid in winning people to Christ (Acts 8:26; 10:3).
- They observe Christian order, work, and suffering (1 Corinthians 4:9; 11:10; Ephesians 3:10; 1 Peter 1:12).
- They encourage in times of danger (Acts 27:23-24).
- Angels will touch your mouth and places words in them for you to speak, (Jeremiah 1:9).
- They care for the righteous at the time of death (Luke 16:22).
“Then the angel replied to Mary, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you [like a cloud]; for that reason the holy (pure, sinless) Child shall be called the Son of God.”
More instructions – even regarding the child and what she should look for that’s coming in the future that has been prophesied to her.
So, you see people of God, the LORD is so intelligent and when He gives His People a prophetic message He gives details, knowledge and instructions concerning His plans for what He wants to accomplish in the earth, or in the lives of those He wants change to come into.
How much detail God wants to reveal is left up to God, because He is the one who sends the angel with the message! But it is up to the receiver to receive it.
It may be one word or several words that He wants to give, but whatever He gives will bring forth fruit in the lives the message is sent to.
This is why God says, “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” 1 John 4:1.
Then, the Angel goes on to reveal more and says to Mary, “Listen,” (he wants her to make sure she understands what he is saying),
“Even your relative Elizabeth has also conceived a son in her old age; and she who was called barren is now in her sixth month. For with God nothing [is or ever] shall be impossible.
Then Mary said, “Behold, I am the servant of the LORD; may it be done to me according to your word.” And the angel left her,” (Luke 1:28-38 AMP)
No worries here! The fruit and evidence of what the angel said to both Mary and Elizabeth came to pass to give proof it was God who sent the messenger and the message!
This is how we as God’s people know that it is God speaking to those whom He has chosen to birth miracles, through the vessels of those He has favored!
As a result, His plans and His purpose are revealed, fulfilled and He is glorified in the vessels He has favored to speak through and to!
My God if there is no evidence of fruit the vessel is deemed to have missed God or is false!!!
Jesus’ Birth Foretold: God told Zacharias that his son will go as a forerunner before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers back to the children, and the disobedient to the attitude of the righteous [which is to seek and submit to the will of God] — in order to make ready a people [perfectly] prepared [spiritually and morally] for the LORD, ( Luke 1:17, AMP)
And as we know, both Jesus and John the Baptist were both birthed as promised by the angel, so we know that God has been glorified and His plans birthed: His prophecy accurate!
