The Faith of Our Mothers
“When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.
Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind,” 2 Timothy1:5-7.
I am greatly moved this holiday season in remembrance of the seed-line of faith in the Women of my family, especially of my Grandmother and my Mother.
My Grandmother has gone on to glory with Jesus, but my Mother is still here, and, she is my greatest supporter and encourager in my family.
Her Faith is genuine, which was passed on to her by her Mother.
I remember when I was a young girl of 11, when our family attended a Revival Meeting at our Church one summer, Mother is the one who asked me if it wasn’t time now to go forward to receive Jesus.
She spurred me on then, and is still spurring me on today to stay in my faith.
I admire her so much. The LORD has equipped her with such tenacity in her walk, through such difficult circumstances, and to at times go it alone with Jesus.
Wow! What rich heritage we have in Christ… He has made a way for us and will continue to do so, by His Spirit.
I want to encourage Women today to hold fast to their Faith in Christ Jesus, no matter the challenges you are facing.
Remember, Jesus Christ is your Great Shepard and He will lead you on through to victory, no matter what comes.
Beloved, Keep the faith! Trust in God, He will not fail you…!
God Bless You, you are in my prayers
