The Day of the Prophets
This verse came to mind today as I read one or two posts there on Facebook.
“After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, “Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.”” Revelation 4:1.
I see Visions and I am a Watchman as per Ezekiel 33:1-11, and I see there are many like me in the prophetic circles I run in.
In my day to day reading, I am observing — perhaps by The Spirit, I don’t know — that The LORD seems to be lifting His prophets higher.
I do know personally that I am getting Words and Visions more frequently, often two or three daily!
I asked The LORD about this and His first response was a question — “How will My people know if I don’t use My prophets and seers to tell them?
Doesn’t My Word say that I do nothing unless I first reveal it to My servants, the prophets?(Amos3:7)
I also instructed you to ask of Me and I will show you great and mighty things you do not know! (Jeremiah 33:3)
Well, now I AM inviting those who will do so to come higher in order to see My Plans for the coming days!”
Suddenly, I see prophets gathering in small groups to seek The LORD together.
I see ‘conventions’ gathering for the same things.
But I do not see any single outstanding voice rising up — only Prophets as a Church Group.
I also see The Church, most reluctantly, receiving the prophets.
Many will try to control what is released because, frequently, that which is released, even during seasons of revival, will clash with or actually wreck man’s plans.
This is why I feel The LORD saying that only few will welcome the prophet with open minds and open hearts.
Many will run the prophet out again — many prophets will have to shake the dust from their shoes as they leave.
BUT…..
There will be many, what I see as, ‘mini Elijah on Carmel’ moments (1 Kings 18).
These will happen as doubting people witness, perhaps for the first time ever, the power of God operating through the prophetic.
A word of knowledge or revelation, a spontaneous healing, an ‘out of the blue’ miracle. Something so unexpected that everyone will say, “The LORD, He is God.” as did Israel on Carmel.
This is how revival will start or spread in many places — by a demonstration of the power of God as per 1 Corinthians 2:1-5
“And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.”
Like it or not, believe them or not, prophets will be on everyone’s agenda in the coming revival season.
The LORD is raising up an Army of Prophets right now!
The Watchman and His Message
“Again the word of The LORD came to me, saying, “Son of man, speak to the children of your people, and say to them: ‘When I bring the sword upon a land, and the people of the land take a man from their territory and make him their watchman, when he sees the sword coming upon the land, if he blows the trumpet and warns the people, then whoever hears the sound of the trumpet and does not take warning, if the sword comes and takes him away, his blood shall be on his own head. He heard the sound of the trumpet, but did not take warning; his blood shall be upon himself. But he who takes warning will save his life. But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand.
So you, son of man: I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore you shall hear a word from My mouth and warn them for Me. When I say to the wicked, ‘O wicked man, you shall surely die!’ and you do not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand. Nevertheless if you warn the wicked to turn from his way, and he does not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.
Therefore you, O son of man, say to the house of Israel: ‘Thus you say, “If our transgressions and our sins lie upon us, and we pine away in them, how can we then live?” ’ Say to them: ‘As I live,’ says The LORD God, ‘I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Israel?’” Ezekiel 33:1-11.
~ Chris G. Bennett
Chris Bennett came to salvation in 1962 but didn’t begin ministry until 2007 — a late-comer! Now mandated by The LORD to prophesy and open old wells of revival in the U.K., but especially in Wales. He has also operated Healing Rooms, and worked with deliverance teams, all with his wife, Linda. Happily now doing whatever The LORD asks of them! Founder, with wife Linda, of their ministry The Upper Room Encounter.
I have experienced this.
Amen to deeper and more visions and sometimes new ways of seeing and hearing. THanks for sharing your depth of vision as well as the heart of our true Prophet who is calling us up higher in these end times of flurry! Blessings, dear Chris. Sandi
