The Crushing of Oil
Crushing is the compressing forcefully of something, squeezing, squashing and the breaking of an item.
This morning the LORD said to pray for the nations and the leaders.
But, He also said that He is in the process of crushing many of us in this season!
This crushing is very painful and it is the breaking, the squeezing, and the removal of impurities of the soul!
In this season, the LORD begin to talk to me regarding the process of this oil that is used and handpicked just for those that he has chosen to go through the process.
You know that Jesus was chosen (the Messiah; the anointed one) to go through the process of his suffering just before the crucifixion.
The place this happened was at the Mount of Olives in the Garden of Gethsemane! In this place he went through excruciating pain and agony as he experienced a spirit of heaviness and grief involving what was to come.
The place of Gethsemane meant a place of oil being pressed. It was a place of submission, suffering and humility!
It was a place of quiet, solitude and a place of prayer where Jesus would go as He got ready to face betrayal and denial of those who pretended to love and to honor Him!
He called for Peter and the two sons of Zebedee and His other disciples to pray with Him in order that this bitter cup would pass from Him, but they fell a sleep, because it was not their cup of suffering to bare.
Many times we want others to watch and to pray with us, but this bitterness like the olive oil when it is pressed is only for those olives it is prepared for.
During the ancient times, these olives were hand picked, washed over and over again, they were prined. Dry salt and lye were used for treatment in the process of the stages to retrieve this oil.
You see, this oil was used for the Anointing of those in royalty, warriors and even Christ; himself and not just for anybody. And, in order to be satisfactory it could not be half processed or fake oil.
But, now we have the Holy Spirit to go in and to perform this process; in order to remove the bitterness from our hearts that is stopping this pure oil from being contaminated during the process!
We know that lye is designed to eat away the bitterness! Jesus had a bitter cup of suffering sat before him that ONLY he could endure!
No matter who he invited along with him in prayer it was his cross of suffering he would have to endure!
Just as many of God’s people will have to endure in this season.
Jesus cried out to God during the process and the stages of the intense agony He endure before He was betrayed by His enemies, those who would betray Him, deny Him and even kill him!
It even seemed as though the Father Himself had left Him, but in the end, after asking the LORD to remove the cup, He came to a point of surrender and submission to the will and the plan of God for His life!
If the olive has not been properly treated to the satisfaction of the Father, we like Jesus, will have to remain in prayer even again through the process, until we yield and submit to the Will of God, to remove every bitter impurity that stops this oil from becoming 100% pure!
Embrace the process and the stages of purification that God is taking you through, because during the time of the crucifixion you will not fight, but will come out with pure oil; even when your enemies and those that hate you have gathered to destroy you!
The Prayer in the Garden
“Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and said to the disciples, “Sit here while I go and pray over there.” And He took with Him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and He began to be sorrowful and deeply distressed. Then He said to them, “My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch with Me.”
He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.”
Then He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “What! Could you not watch with Me one hour? Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
Again, a second time, He went away and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if this cup cannot pass away from Me unless I drink it, Your will be done.” And He came and found them asleep again, for their eyes were heavy.
So He left them, went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words. Then He came to His disciples and said to them, “Are you still sleeping and resting? Behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners. Rise, let us be going. See, My betrayer is at hand,” Matthew 26:36-46.
