The Cost of Holiness Today?
I saw a comment on holiness just now, and it makes me think…
If we were to ever put a price tag on the value of holiness today (just for statistical reference and data), can you imagine how much money would be lost?
It is no secret that holiness and righteousness which are two very important characteristics of Christ are being overlooked and bypassed by many.
Can I tell you? Holiness is still right. Righteousness is still right.
We are living in an era where we are witnessing a movement that seems to be more focused on being relevant than being holy and righteous.
No doubt relevance has its place, for a generation of young people who are continuously evolving and everything seems to be competing for their attention I believe the need for the approach of marketing strategies for the presentation of the Word and the Gospel is of and should be of great importance.
However staying relevant should NEVER take precedence over being holy and righteous.
As men and women of God whose sole mission should be to lift the name of Jesus Christ above every other name, and live a lifestyle that is Christ like, we should never feel or think we have to compromise our stance on holiness to feel accepted or celebrated.
The moment you feel you need to try to fit in to gain the likes and approval of others is the moment you begin to compromise and it is a sign you begin to lose a sense of who you are.
If you have to compromise your stance on holiness and righteous then that is already a sign that you are getting yourself involved in something that takes more away from you than it adds to.
Anything that involves Jesus Christ will add to you and not take away from you. Some may limit holiness and righteousness to just the way you dress, but for your information, holiness and righteousness go beyond how you dress!
It has to do with the state and matter of your heart, than it does about what you wear.
If your heart is right and aligned with Christ, it will reflect how you put yourself together.
How you feel about yourself is often how you dress. Nobody who feels greatly loved by Christ and is walking in wholeness, dresses in a way that will take away from their value.
Modesty can never get old. You can still be covered, dress classy, modestly and be holy and righteous.
Listen, it is deception and a lie if you feel like this Christian walk has to be more of a burden and boring because you are called to live a lifestyle of HOLINESS and RIGHTEOUSNESS.
When you are a man or a woman purposed, called and chosen by God and you are striving and living a lifestyle of holiness and righteousness you begin to realize the thrill and excitement you get from living for Jesus Christ.
When you have been delivered from religion and you take Jesus Christ out of the box you once put Him, you begin to realize that the Christian journey is not one of a burden but one in which you CHOOSE to enjoy and have pure fun even though the warfare and attack is great.
As men and women of God we do not wear our emotions on our sleeves.
We could be going through hell, but we choose to maintain our joy.
We could be experiencing attacks on every angle, but we refuse to live in defeat or misery.
Men and women of God, never be ashamed or afraid to maintain and walk in holiness and righteousness regardless of who does not like or approve you.
Jesus Christ died that we can be free.
It is a sin to allow the enemy to cause you to walk in defeat, self-pity and shame because of what you choose to stand for.
Jesus Christ has given us the grace, power and authority to live, be free and walk in holiness and righteousness.
Have a great day!
