The Church, The World and a Religious Spirit
Good morning. The Subtitle to this article is “Turnaround”.
Turnaround
Today I wish to start with these scriptures. They are plain, simple and true.
“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.” 1 John 2:15-17.
Also, The LORD didn’t pray we be taken out of the world — but ‘kept’.
“I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.” John 17:15.
Still we must balance this out. This world is ruled by the prince of the power of the air.
When we go out in our cities; our stores, the markets we are to always let our lights shine and not let the darkness overtake us! We are to be ambassadors for Christ for sure!
Some people may only see Jesus through us!
To go out in the world we need to make sure we don’t become like them!
Do we think we are stronger than that? If we are not careful a ‘Worldly spirit’ will get on us. If we are going and doing all the time, what happens? There is No time to pray, No time to read the Word and seek God.
How can we be still and know He is God, if the devil has us running all the time everywhere in all directions?
“Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalm 46:10.
Then on the other spectrum some go so far as to not even go out in the world, but shut themselves in. We must never think God can’t keep us!
Neither should we ever get an holier than thou spirit at any time.
“Also He spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: “Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other men — extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.’ And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner!’ I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”” Luke 18:9-14.
The World has crept into the churches so much, sometimes you can’t tell the world and The Church apart!
How? By an entertainment spirit, and buying and selling in The Churches etc..
The LORD spoke to me that many are partaking of a ‘glitzy’, ‘glamourous’ gospel. God forbid, Hollywood has moved in many of The Churches!
What is our focus to always be? To remember The LORD’s house is to be called a House of Prayer. Sure we get edified and strengthened, but to always be in a Spirit of Prayer.
Most Important : Whether we actually go in a Church building or go to Home Church Services, let’s remember we (The Body of Christ) are The Church of The Living God!
Still the Word of God admonishes us to not forsake the assembling of ourselves together.
“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” Hebrews 10:25.
The Spirit of The LORD told me years ago, ‘Ichabod’ was being written over many of the Church Doors, as many of us know. So let’s be Spirit led.
We must if we are Christians lift up the blood stained banner of the Cross. If we live Godly in Christ Jesus there will be suffering and persecution!
Good fruits will show as in Galatians 5. We shall know them by their fruits!
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23.
“Turnaround for many in this day and age,” is what the Spirit of God spoke to me recently. Along with this, The LORD brought me to these scriptures.
“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; a time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.” Ecclesiastes 3:1-8.
We must discern which season we are in.
Turnaround and do whatever the Father bids us. What is that? It should not look churchy, or even be the way things were done in the past always. God is wanting out of the box!
Still we must have strong spiritual discernment, as mature Christians so we won’t fall for everything.
I will close with this song from a while back. God bless you all.

We are truly in Harvest Time and the fields are ripe. It’s time to reap them in one by one and every one in the army of God is recruited!!! Amen.. Many Blessings
Amen, Diane! Love you much.
Thank you for these words of encouragement.Continue on in the faith. All scriptures are profitable for doctrine; rebuke, exhort and the more so as we see the day of the Lord approaching. We know the Lord comes as a thief in the night so we must watch and pray always; that when he comes we won’t be found sleeping.
Amen! Thank you dear sister for your response. God bless you.
Thank you my friend and Conrad in the Lord and fellow warrior!
It is a day of unison and not division for all who hear the Sound from heaven!
Marching orders, forward march! The Kingdom of God is advancing, not retreating!
I thank GOd for you and how I loved this to the point post the other about the Church, Turnaround, etc THe truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. I liked “Also, The LORD didn’t pray we be taken out of the world — but ‘kept’. “I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.” John 17:15. We need to “ACT DIFFERENT BECAUSE WE ARE DIFFERENT”. A Pastor long ago chastised me for that phrase. Love you dear one, Sandi
