The Church — A Hard Truth
Some truths are very offensive and hard to accept — but they are the truth!
My love for the Church of God is deep and uncompromising.
Somehow even when I feel hurt through her gross ignorance and feel like being silent over all the messy things going on in her, I find my heart burning with passionate hate for most of the practices going on within our cycle.
Studying the Church through the Book of Acts of the Apostles, I saw how that the Church was more of a family.
Over the years, I have observed the painful truth that the Church in Israel was a family, and when it moved to Rome, it turned into religion.
Then when it got to the shores of Europe, it became politics.
Now in Africa, it is now business — how sad!
Until we make a return back to the Book of Acts of the Apostles, we will always keep having a distorted view about the Church which Jesus built!
I fear today that majority of people are building their empires and kingdoms and not the Church of Jesus!
I just can’t keep silent.
We are in dire need for reformers who knows the original intention in The LORD’s heart when He said “I will build My Ekklesia..”
The statement denotes that the word ekklesia was a familiar word to the people at that time, who understood the power wielded by the earthly ekklesia.
Jesus, by that statement, meant: He is going to build an ekklesia that is His own with a mandate like that of the earthly ekklesia.
Until we catch the true picture of the kind of ekklesia He was talking about, we will continue to build empires and monumental kingdom for ourselves to be inherited by our wives and passed on to our children and children after them…
Isn’t this what is happening in most of today’s Church?
Isn’t this — business?
Judge among yourselves….
I rest my case!
