The Care That Moves Me Most
The Apostle Paul spoke of “A Care” which was very heavy to carry.
The care he spoke of was: The Care of the Churches.
This special burden he carried was mixed with many personal hardships being the Apostle he was, and to go where he went.
Hear his heart here as he speaks of his life struggles and then his care for the many Churches he worked with….
“Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft. Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one.
Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep; in journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; in weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.
Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches.” 2 Corinthians 11:23-28.
Paul listed his personal hardships… things that he went through as he worked for The LORD as Apostle to the Gentiles.
But….
Right on the End of the List he spoke of the more that came upon him daily.. “The care of all The Churches!”
The main reason he was out there working was for The Churches — God’s People who were being saved and helped.
Yes he did have many difficulties, but the greater burden was for the many cares or needs of The Churches.
In this we see the depth of the Apostle Paul’s Love for People. Regardless of what he personally suffered it was the many cares — problems and needs — of The Churches that really caused him “Great Concern,” the Cares of the Many he saw as he went among them.
So, how do you suffer? Loss and difficulty? How is your life, and to sum it up, how would you describe them?
Then could you add the care or needs of The Church which were foremost in your heart?
A Testimony:
I am here working in this Desert building a Place. The Place I have found out is not for me.. but The LORD said it was to be for His Church, the Body of Christ… of whom He is most concerned.
If I suffer doing all, I still hear my heart breaking over the condition and needs of The Churches.
Regardless of my need, every time I go to my Facebook Page and begin to talk to people and they tell me of the many needs they have and the difficulty thy are experiencing, literally around the World…
I am moved in care for them. But the most difficult in that care is to not be able to do something more to help them.
The Needs of today’s Church is the provision for the Work . The one who is the Pastor or Missionary, or Teacher, etc is in great need of help to do their work.
Many of them are in such places that they are being persecuted just to be a minister…. their lives are threatened daily by the enemy, but yet they struggle to minister and help their people….
In lack, they have no funds or even food to feed, or materials to teach from [Bibles to give new believers]… Yes, In lack, they are crying out.
Yet many in The Church today see no need to give.
Some even teach that the Apostle Paul did not believe in tithing or even giving, refusing to be paid himself.
They make excuse using Paul as an example, but, when we read of why he did what he did about money, we see he did it not to be an added burden upon those who he was trying to help.
Was he against giving?
The answer is No! No! No! No!
But Paul was deeply burdened for lack to help them with. He saw their needs and saw the needs of those who were pastors… He was moved to say, he was greatly burdened and cared.
Fact is, I myself have many needs here in this Desert Place, but I am shocked at the needs of ministers around the world.
I spoke to a Lady of God this very morning who is living in Pakistan, who suffers in ministry for lack to give to the children she is teaching about The LORD.
They are destitute, yet she is trying to help them. It moves me to hear her need.. and it is not a selfish need she does need, but she needs help to help them.
But I myself cannot give to help her. I had to tell her I would pray for God to move and help find help for her as she worked.
The Body of Christ is crying out today for lack, lack of funds to even live, much less minister to the people.
Is this not a Great Care?
Just yesterday I spoke to my Son in The LORD living in Nigeria, Africa and he told me he was trying to use his house to be a Church, but he lacked many things. Things like chairs for them to sit in, and for materials to give them, etc.
Food for himself to even live to minister to them. He is working up hill in this Battle, for the much lack that He has to do this ministry work.
Yet he said, “They are coming hungry seeking more from me.
This should move you too. To see so many crying out for help, yet so many refuse to give of even themselves to reach the needs of The Churches.”
Today, many are hanging out on Facebook, having left The Church.
I know that there are reasons why, but, can we stop being the Church that gives, just because many have failed?
Is the need still existing? And should we not be moved by the care of missions and missionaries and pastors and evangelist and mission churches?
If not us to care and help, then who?
Scripture to consider:
“Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith The LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith The LORD of hosts.” Malachi 3:10-11.

This post moved me a lot, Bro Ken. In fact I read it several different days coming back to it.
How if we love God can we have a stingy spirit? The Word of God says where your treasure is there your heart will be also.
Many times, we cant give when we would like to.
Still we can pray others can and give in some fashion of our talents, etc.
People worry so much about whether tithing is scriptural for the New Testament or not.
What about giving MORE than just 10%? If we dont want to live by a 10% give MORE not LESS!!
People are hurting, sacrificing many times their lives and so many want to debate.
Your post so covered so very much.
Oh if we only would have a listening ear to obey quickly when we can help others and how.
God bless you sir.
Ken God bless you in all you do. I read yesterday on BBC news where a women with 4 children, no food would go to dump and pick thru it to find things. To sell for food. No food in south Africa. My heart hurts much for the starving but for all the weathy people who won’t help. Then in a open Vision I saw a lion bring her a deer.
