The Body of Christ
There is a disturbing trend in The Church… Not sure if I’m to say “The Body of Christ”— because there is a stark difference.
People follow hard after and support those who have some form of notoriety and who they wish to be seen of with the belief that they can grant them a platform, a seat at their table , presence in their spheres of influence, or can do something for them — rather than encourage and show the same support to other fellow co-labourers, knowing very well that the field of ministry is not an easy task and they don’t need to garner a following — rather some form of encouragement, to press toward the mark.
Not everyone being used of God is a person of opulence and affluence, and many blatantly disregard overlook them because they don’t dress and look the part yet their wealth of Wisdom and Revelation is immeasurable.
“The poor man’s wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard,” Ecclesiastes 9:16.
“Now there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man remembered that same poor man,” Ecclesiastes 9:15.
Value Every Member
In the Book of 1 Corinthians 12:15-26, the Apostle Paul speaks to the wealthy Corinthian Church and uses the metaphor of the human body to emphasize the importance of unity and diversity.
The Apostle Paul explains that every part of the body, regardless of its role, is necessary. For example, the foot cannot say it doesn’t belong, because it’s not a hand, nor can the ear feel inferior to the eye.
This underscores that every believer, regardless of their spiritual gifts or roles, is vital to the Church’s functioning.
The more prominent parts of the body, like the eye or the head, cannot dismiss the importance of the less visible or seemingly weaker parts, such as internal organs.
Paul stresses that even those who appear weaker are indispensable and deserve honor.
This combats arrogance and fosters mutual respect within The Church.
None is Less Important
Never believe that because a person doesn’t have a huge following or renown that they are the least in The Kingdom matter of fact The Bible let us know that even the least among you IS the greatest (Luke 9:48).
Be careful not to dismiss others!
No one in The Church is insignificant — all roles, gifts, and contributions matter.!
Embrace differences in talents, personalities, and functions enrich the Church rather than divide it.
Members should support and care for one another, reflecting Christ’s love in the community.
We thrive better in an atmosphere where there is mutual respect and unity……
And instead of comparing roles or gifts, let us focus on fulfilling OUR unique, God-given purposes.
God bless you all ..
“If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body? And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body? If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling? But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased. And if they were all one member, where would the body be?
But now indeed there are many members, yet one body. And the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you”; nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary. And those members of the body which we think to be less honorable, on these we bestow greater honor; and our unpresentable parts have greater modesty, but our presentable parts have no need. But God composed the body, having given greater honor to that part which lacks it, that there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another. And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.” 1 Corinthians 12:15-26.
